Yea I don't understand why it's so hard to find talkshow hosts that act like humans. It doesn't truly take much to be one yet so few actually pull it off. Most of them just look like they're working a job and nothing more. They're not even doing a good job at it either, minimal research and softball questions. While Conan was definitely better, I'm more spoiled by Graham Norton than him.

The credit of Bill being so hilarious on Conan goes to the people who ran the Conan show. They encourage politically incorrect jokes as long as they're good, which is where Bill shines. Whereas on other shows they prolly let Bill know in the pre interview that we do not want too much of an edge. Conan was not the yin to Bill's yan. He was just a dood who witnessed the magic happen like the rest of us.

When Bill gets controversial, Conan understands it's part of what makes him great. Conan draws him out and lets him tip-toe the line, trusting that Bill knows what he's saying. And it's great television that never gets out of hand. Jimmy, on the other hand, changes the subject at any mention of anything controversial. That's the difference.

When I think of the 70's I think of Buford T Justice. It's the first thing that pops in my mind. That and blue chip bowling at the local bowling alley on Saturday nights. Burr is too good for this show. Kimmel doesn’t do comedy, he just caters to what his crowd wants to hear. Goes for approval and fake laughs over genuine laughter.

I love Bill Comedy. It's interesting how they don't trigger the laugh tracks for his jokes, as they are controversial, but they hit it for everything Kimmel says. Also interesting, does it feel like the guest chair is way further away from Kimmel's desk? Like is that for Social Distancing?!? Is it putting Kimmel out of spit range? It's laughable, the whole late night formula is a joke in itself. I wish Bill would make a joke about it.
