Bill doesnt understand that people dont go for Pauls voice, they go for Paul. Its like watching Hercules do his trials on a stage for you. A legend singing legendary songs, hes humble and does it BECAUSE so many people want it
Paul doesn’t need to perform for the money. He loves it and loves the feeling of love he gets from the audience. I go to his live shows just to celebrate the catalog of music with the guy who wrote it. I would go to his show if he was 90 and sitting on a toilet when the curtains came up and he fuckin gummed “her majesty” and the curtains came down and that was it.
A live video performance is no basis on which to judge a musicians worth. They are a very tough thing to mix and get right, even when there’s alot of money behind them they can go wrong. Sometimes a video performance is so bad that it’s tough not to, but this is Paul McCartney we’re talking about. Even if it’s not Beatles 68’ quality, Paul deserves to do what makes him happy.
Poor Billy. Can’t complete a sentence without a curse word. No wonder he resents anybody who built their fortune without any! Maybe he’ll mellow with age. Wouldn’t that be funny!? Watching an old shock-jock trying to suppress his impulse to curse!
