I found a WHYY broadcasting Company podcast about him (and his sickness). He was an American hero, of course an author and a stand-up comedian and actor very successfully at everything public. Bill broke through racial barriers by working so hard and into our living rooms with his family sit-com ugh as doctor on the tv ... If you show up at his invite to his house/bungalow/hotel room/back stage please never accept the invitation. It seems he was a genius with a raping illness. I don't like him, but it is an interesting study of oddity in psychology. And he is a masterful storyteller he can fool everyone

I agree. And this one was his best IMO. I heard he was running a high temp/flu when he recorded this. He was under weight etc.. yet this could have been his best performance ever. The way he used the mic was epic. Regardless of what he was judged in life, this shit will alway survive in the long haul. Its just too good to bury. Not going to happen.

This is an important part of my childhood. I remember walking down the stairs into the living room. There was a voice from somewhere and my Mom and 3 siblings were sitting on the floor laughing. I had never heard the console stereo on (Yes "console stereo", search it.). It was my introduction to records and Mr. Bill Cosby.

I am with you. There's some folks they got real upset that he dared even to think about buying a national network. And they try to tear him up they tore up a lot of his wealth. But I'm glad he got out of prison. Because I know it's some other folks that have done even worse. And they're not out on the front line like that.

The One and Only! Childhood would never have been the same without The Albums of Bill Cosby! A man who made you laugh without cursing or vulgar told stories. He always had a way to explain adult subjects in a manner that got the point across but cleanly. So many fantastic memories while listening to this and other albums. Even went to see him Live in Pittsburgh back in 1970. That was an experience I will not soon forget! If you had not seen him live you missed one special event.

this older stuff is absolute brilliance. sadly his TV show, while great, caused that fame on a new level to go to his head and his brilliance was afterwards forever gone, and this has nothing to do with the charges against him, I'm talking strictly his comedy mind. his movies were pathetic and his comedy never the same. I'm glad we still have this though.

Yes. Take nothing away from what he has admitted to doing while acknowledging the genius of his work. I struggle with this a lot as Cosby was a staple of my childhood, but there is a way to acknowledge and appreciate while remaining objective. I still can laugh at his comedy, though it’s also met with deep sadness and a sense of great loss. It’s possible, but it’s hard.
