Just finished your valve guide series w/K-Lining series and I'm thoroughly enjoying your channel Mike, and Bill is a wealth of knowledge I could listen to all day. Thanks for all this.......... and I don't even have a Guzzi

Great video. I found Bill's comments about header pipe size interesting . I have an S3 which in my younger days modified with 36mm carbs, lightened flywheel, ported/polished heads, mild cam and heads sleeved to about 850mm plus a couple of other mods but the most noticeable improvement was 42mm 2 into 1 headers , into a supertrapp. (maybe it just tied it all together)

If the inlet ports are filled in by 6mm at the bottom, how does that affect the carb bore being round I wonder ? Excellent video, thanks a lot.

The website should be: www.hpower.com.au These videos are very interesting. Great tuning advice, make some more videos with this guy. Maybe show some of the ported heads with dimensions or silicone molds?

Fixed the link thanks! Bill is building a very special Moto Guzzi Le Mans at the moment. I hope to do a story on that when it's completed.

What difference does the Spacer make to oil change life and engine temperature in traffic & hot 🥵 weather ? Thanks Paul
@JR-sx3cu
@JR-sx3cu 3 года назад
None, since you use the same amount of oil, it lowers the crank case pressure and the oil level to reduce oil going out of the breather

Curious if those mods (D-shaped inlet port & larger primary pipe) would work for a smaller block MG? Say a V65..
@MikesMachines
@MikesMachines 3 года назад
The V65 uses a heron head with quite different flow characteristics to the hemi heads of the big block motors so probably not.

So Mike, based on this advice have you decided to replace that standard big crossover chamber "third Muffler" for a straight pipe?
@MikesMachines
@MikesMachines 4 года назад
At some point when it rusts out which won't be far off!
@stevemcdermott62
@stevemcdermott62 4 года назад
@@MikesMachines Don't let the boot guard mounting tabs get rusty as you can get them welded onto the new crossover.

Mike, do you have any suggestions on how to best adjust a v7 classic clutch lever? I’ve looked for specs and can’t find any, I’m guessing it’s the generic 10-20mm of play at the handle? It’s best to adjust when the bike is cold? Sorry for so many questions, thanks in advance!
@MikesMachines
@MikesMachines 3 года назад
I adjust them so that there is a couple of mm free play at the pivot point which is probably around 10 - 20 at the lever end. Do it cold and check that it doesn't tighten up when hot.
