This is gold! Bill may not have been a freak but he was a bannerman for the counterculture and everything that was good about it. He is sorely missed!

I went to several Fillmore East shows back in '70-'71 when I was a senior in HS. Great, no, phenomenal time and place to be. Listening to Bill's comments and perspective adds depth to my own recollections and perspective about that time and even my own life. Thanks Bill, miss you.

greatest example of difference between Eastern & Western cultures as well. In NY you tell someone 'get outta here' w/the response 'f you'; but in SF or LA say the same thing & the response 'far out, man'; incredible---

I simply admire and respect the accomplishments of Bill Graham- having read his new book- "my life in and out of Rockroll" a great read.

His story about Hendrix is great. The first night Hendrix did all his tricks. Humping the mic stand,Amps and all his schtick. The crowd went nuts. He went up to graham and asked “ how was that”? Graham said he you did this you did that but you forgot to play your guitar. Just deflated Hendrix. The next night is the famous recording. Hendrix just stood there and played incredible guitar. Then he closed the show doing his schtick. Graham has balls. Big MATZOH BALLS!!😎👍

really appreciate seeing this I couldn't possibly thank this man enough for what he and his crews delivered for so long "They weren't just the best at what they do; they were the only ones who did what they do" was just as true of Bill and BGP as it was of the GD he said it about ... at least in my experience I love the reality-based empathy-driven life-embracing wisdom he delivers in these interviews
