This is the full 50 minute concert by Austin guitar greats Kirchen and Volkaert at the 2015 Folk Alliance Music Fair at the Kansas City (MO) Sheraton on 2/20/15
I have been playing guitar for almost 35 years (mostly as a hobby player or in praise band in Church) but I have been around a little. I am primarily a Les Paul devotee and lean more to Jesus Rock / Classic Rock.... I absolutely love these guys and either one of them or both really makes me want to put the Les Pauls away, trade the Mesa Boogie MkIV in for a Fender Twin or Super Reverb, and get my hands on a Telecaster and never look back !
Great playing on the fly, bud. You don't need me to compliment you, but it's easy to see someone who has mastered their craft when they can sit in and play on songs they have never heard just because they can "hear" where the chord progression should go next. Very well done

@@SteveRamm Incredible post as well. I met Redd at my cousins wedding in Santa Barbara. They flew the band out from Austin. Redd was delightful! Hippest bumpkin jazzer tele wiz there is! And he's a comedian., and Canadian!..........none the less, the marriage lasted 2 months!
