I imagine some great 18th century hall in Russia once filled with people laughing, celebrating, dancing, now collecting dust. Everything in it is exactly the same; great long tables decorated with flowers, candles, plates, glasses and stuff, but all the people have vanished. Great elaborate paintings of Tzars, of battles, of celebrations cover the walls. Giant murals of Gods and Angels fill the ceiling, from which hang 2 enormous chandeliers. In all its glory it would've been mesmerising, but now a patina of dust covers everything. All that was shiny is now dull, lifeless. Everything is perfectly still, perfectly quiet. The early morning sun shines through gaps in the curtains, the dust dances in the light. It refracts on the glasses on the table, throwing patterns across the floor. You feel like you can still hear the people. Also, I am on a lot of drugs right now.
Sir - Ur a Screenplay writer at heart. Be honest. You painted a scene and added life to it with your descriptive...........love the score you married to the mental cinema you shared with us
