One of my favorite jokes is from Bill Maher: “Sex is like pizza. When it’s good, it’s good. And when it’s bad… it’s still pretty good.”

I walked to school in Long Island from the age of 5. Yes, since kindergarten I walked to school with all of the other normal kids.

Really one of the most relaxed and genuinely enjoyable talks I've seen Adam OR Bill be a part of. This was great content.

It's easy to forget that while Bill and Adam differ politically, they both started their careers around the same time. These guys go back decades and know to separate politics from friendship, something we could all use more of here in America.

After all of these years, Adam is still great with analogies.

Bill's comments about childhood really hits home with my kids doing seemingly nothing but stare at bloody screens!

This is how we should behave as humans. Politics is only one aspect of our nature. Even when I don't agree with Bill, he makes me laugh.

Great conversation probably the longest I've ever listened to Bill Maher. More than likely because they weren't talking about politics. Nice breath of fresh air. This changed the way I view him.

I became aware of both of them when I was like 12 for some reason and it’s odd to see them getting older. Although Bill has always looked 60 haha

When I listen to Bill Maher talk about himself I feel like I'm watching the male version of myself. So grateful for his candidness and honesty.

been a rep/conserv fan on Bill's since the early PC days. He tells it straight and acknowledges differences. Rare. His statements on weight, sugar, fat etc have been consistent FOREVER. He practices what he preaches.

This was awesomely, nice and refreshing to see 2 great comedians from completely different political views and are big into politics just sit and have a nice conversation. I wish One day we all go back to that ! I also thought it was funny that Bill Maher said he wasn’t into cartoons and never really watched them, more of a film guy, yet he has a snoopy shirt LOL !

Enjoyed this episode!! Real talk is what we need more of because politics is exhausting.

Maher has such interesting perspectives

"Yes, of course, life is a struggle. Everything is a struggle". This is something young people don't understand because they are so coddled and entitled. Not all young people, but a lot.

People actually using logic to talk about politics? I always saw Bill Maher as a left wing dude but he definitely seems very moderate and level headed lately. Great seeing Maher fight for the right thing and actually agree with him on tons of stuff. Thanks for the interview Maher & Carolla!

This was really enjoyable to watch. If we go by the rhetoric of the mainstream media, these two guys would never be capable of sitting in a room and talking like this. But here they are having a great conversation and finding a bunch of middle ground on numerous "sensitive" topics. Good stuff.

I grew up in the 1990s and had pretty much the same sort of "unsupervised" childhood that Bill and Adam reminisce about. Anyone who shared that experience appreciates the tasting notes of hose water, and probably microwaved a CD or two, but that's a good trade off (although I really do enjoy water from the hose), for learning how to be independent and deal with peers without needing to run to the nearest authority figure to whine.

When I was young, there was the Presidential Physical Fitness Award. Every kid in school, at least that I can remember, wanted to get that award. It was presented in a school-wide assembly and you were called out and asked to come on stage to receive yours. I could never quite get past the sit-up portion of the test. It was eliminated in 2013. We are doing ourselves and our children a disservice by not calling out our poor health practices and it's an American problem more than anywhere else it seems. I've traveled to Europe and the East. I don't see a sizable portion of any population with the obesity problem we have here, it's shameful and it's why our health care is so expensive too.

So awesome that Maher is doing shows like this and Ben Shapiro. In a sane world, that fact wouldn't be worth noting but, given how insane so many leftists have become about hearing hurtful facts or giving their opposition "a platform", it's big of him and means a lot that he's willing to reach across the divide.

Honestly, true story, bill’s interview with Ben and this interview, it’s made me give up soda, to start with, and go from there. I’m not that fat, 190ish, but I still need to lose weight and be healthier, I thank bill for always talking about this subject.

Great interview. Enjoy both these guys especially Adam. But in the last 10 minutes there Adam makes a point about guys sleeping with pretty women and Bill brings up slavery. And then pivots to more victim stuff with the dentist in the neighborhood man they love victim stuff they just love it. He just finished saying he’s sick of everything being about color. And then right into the warm blanket of slavery.

Every so often Bill Maher gets it right....great job!

Two of my all time favorite personalities together! Been listening to both for years and love their take on so many things, just about everything. When it comes to Bill one of the only areas I find indifference with him on is kids. I am a married, 45 year old Gen Xer with two boys aged 5 and 9. When it comes to Bills thoughts on kids I don't totally disagree with him but as a parent when it comes to trying to convey what it's like to be a parent and be a parent now to someone who doesn't have kids it's almost impossible. You can have your thoughts and ideas and what not but it's an experience like having fought in a war. One example: he talks about the kids ruling the parents and to a point I agree, some parents are complete pushovers. But what you don't realize is that even if your hardcore like me and you have kids like mine it's a constant battle and believe me you're going to give in. And you have too. Another thing is letting the kids just go do there own thing, be back when you hear the six o'clock bell or whatever. Yeah maybe if you live really nice neighborhood or they are a certain age and you know you've taught them to be street smart and what not but where I live which is not a totally horrible neighborhood but with it's half way houses and sex offenders in the area it's not safe and the thought of losing a kid especially to someone that will do horrible things to them (Jacob Wetterling was abducted 15 miles from where I live). It's a tough game and it doesn't take much to Being a parent for me is about being the one in charge but not to the point of being completely inflexible, allowing them freedom yet keeping them safe, etc. Again I love Bill but I just don't think he quite gets what it like to raise kids especially in this time and place.

I actually wish he did the same political show but in this format. Not 6 panel guest bickering and the crowd cheering non stop. Be able to knock out deep topics with completion. The country needs that desperately now

I saw a sandcastle contest once at the beach as a child. The sculptures were magnificent and intricate, some being almost as big as a small house, and I could tell they were made by adults. At first glance I thought "this is so dumb, it's just going to wash away in a few.hours." then it dawned on me. I think this is what bill means around the 15 minute mark.

All good comedians unite us in our humanity. True artists.

This hour and a half show was absolutely brilliant. I can identify so much with Bill and his story as how he was brought up in his teens and twenties (me being in my early twenties as well). But that aside, the normal interaction, the common sense in the conversation, it just felt like the kind of conversation you wish you could have with people over at their house. Great show.

I really enjoyed this. Two interesting guys having an interesting conversation with one another.

Great interview, so relaxing to hear a non political conversation

High fructose corn syrup was introduced in 1970. This is one of many changes that happened to the food supply after 1969. Yes, cake was delicious in 1969, but it wasn't as sweet, and the food supply was less industrialized and sugar loaded.

Wow! - How fun to just kick and and enjoy such a great conversation. Two guys who may disagree a little politically, but understand the fundamentals of humanity and getting by in the world. How great to be alive!

Bill Maher is a person you can have a conversation even if you disagree with his views. I love listening to Bill's positions and how he defends them. Having a debate is healthy. If you liked this listen to the Ben Shapiro interview of Bill.

Good to humanize bill here. I found him distasteful The Last 5 Years, seems like he's starting to open his mind to different ideas lately or speak out more. Growing up in the 90s was beautiful, no internet and social media was whoever had the most bikes out in front of the boys house was where everyone was at. Streetlights come on you better get your ass home.

In 80’s sitcom Designing Women, in the show the character Mary-jo divorced single mother does not ask for alimony because she wants her children to see her as a self-sufficient independent woman and work full-time. In 2022, all tv shows single mother characters ask for everything and the moon, stay home living on government handouts and still claim to be strong independent women. How time has changed thanks to the wokies

Bill is a guy that’s interesting in a good way. He is at the tip of the spear of trying to reform his own party...I very much appreciate what he’s doing...most of the time.

Totally right I was watching the song remains the same and it totally stood out how thin everybody in the crowd was, back then we had one fat guy in high school maybe two, did they get shamed yes, but they also weren’t so fragile they couldn’t handle it
