Not one person who thinks of themselves as a “funny” person hasn’t told a joke that was funny to them but offensive to someone else. It’s impossible to know everyone’s limits, unfortunately.

Bill is 1000% insane!!! He's wacked...and OUT OF HIS MIND! In a good way! Back in late 90's early 2000's for a few years I rented a place in Malibu on Malibu Rd behind the Ralph's Mkt next to The Colony outside of the gates. Bill was next-door yet hardly there. Yet he lent this place out (a lot) to crew members (grips, AD's, art department, construction, electricians, etc) from various projects I assume he was working on. Always blue collar types. Every now and then his younger brother(one roll on Scrooged) would stay there for weeks at a time. So I was accustomed to random people going in and out of there. You would see Bill maybe four, five, six times a year for 3-4 days at a time. Always alone. No wife, no kids, no assistant. And you knew it was him there because he had no car and the front parking was empty and the house quiet. It was a cab or a car would pick him up. If they were cars parked out front you knew he was not there. One early am (5:00) I saw him climbing out of the window of the house and throwing his luggage out. He was leaving and getting into a cab. I asked him if everything was ok and he said he doesn't have keys to the house. So he broke into his own house left it locked and went in & out windows. So everyone else had a key and yet he did not. A year or so later I figured out Bill had moved in on a more permanent basis because there were no cars but you could see the lights going on and off, tv, etc; and he was always very private. So I figured he was there for an extended stay. Long story short there was a homeless guy living there with some friends and they were keeping quiet. It seems he had pushed off a bunch of Bills friends and told them that Bill wants him to stay there and watch the place. And they believed it and left the place alone. Cause that's Bill and that guy sold it. One day bills younger brother John shows up with the police and throws the guy out. It seems he had cleaned out the house over the course of three months. Stereo systems, kitchenware, linens, clothing, everything, etc. Ran up the Playboy channel and phone. The brother let me in. I spoke to the police. And I saw the place totally wrecked. The place looked and smelled like a gas station bathroom. Especially the kitchen. As time went by major housekeeping came in and some carpenters to clean the place up. The brother ended up telling me that Bills ONLY concern was the stolen pair of Air Jordan sneakers signed by Michael Jordan in a glass box with a photo of the two. I remember the brother rolling his eyes. This was the younger brother John who came out with him in the movie Scrooged. The place was sold and the brother gave me a case of film poster One Sheets from The Man Who Knew Too Little, 2 of Bills golf clubs and 32 cases of pink tile from the garage.

Leave Bill Murray alone. The Hypersensitivity and Cancel culture thing should stop and it's just overkill. Murray gives his honest answers and observations. If you can’t take a comment, stop crying and move on. The younger generation have so little social skills that they can't take a negative comment and brush it off.

There's a reason why comedic actors like Bill Murray were so sought after by movie producers during their career - they're spontaneous and bring an unexpected behaviour/humour to a set, and can often bring dull scripts to life. For better or worse it looks like these type of off the wall actors' days are numbered, and producers are going to have to rethink the casting process and rely on different clever ways to bring averages scripts to life.

Having attended the after-party for "Caddy Shack" at Rockefeller Center, I recall Murray dressed like a homeless person as he circulated among the guests. He was, however, very pleasant and congenial.

Bill Murray accidentally drove thru my family's living room window during supper my sister said 'oh look it's Bill Murray' we asked him if he'd like to eat with us, he accepted. He excused himself when we were done eating and the next day his agent stopped by with a check which more than covered the damages.

This guy has a history if being an as$hole and now accountable for his behaviour. He's getting called out for it. It took over 40 years. Years ago he was a big box office draw and people put up with it. Heck stories were spun even to make the other actor look like the bad one. Now that he doesn't have the same power, and now theres the basic idea that people dont want to be bullied and should be treated with respect, hes not getting away with it.

This changes a lot. Like a slapping incident during Oscar's, a lot of support (to watch movies) an abusive person, not just an actor, would vanish. Eccentricity may work for a while, but professionalism matters more.

There's a famous incident where Bill Murray and Chevy Case almost got into a fistfight, when Chase returned to host SNL in the late 1970's - Now, they've patched things up and are on good terms. Bill Murray told Lucy Liu she couldn't act - during an argument on the set of CHARLIE'S ANGELS movie in 2000, OVER 20 YEARS AGO!!! And Bill was RIGHT!! Lucy Liu is a horrible actress!

The crap that goes on during movie making is legendary. And Murray is known for his over the top history.... So I am sure Murray went to far, it's his nature. It's what makes his movies as funny as they are he adlibs so so much of what we all see it would ruin his brilliant, comedic genius to curtail him. And I am also quite sure at the same time this female actor is way to sensitive and way to full of herself..... and enjoys using the current view of things more than she should.

So you act in roles that fit your perceived off set personality but you can't be that person in real life. Actors, and one such as Bill Murray have to act a way and perform to the directors queues. So much pressure to be a certain way.

Murray is a comedian but chooses to use his comedic cover to do inexcusable and say unacceptable things to fellow cast mates, extras and production staff on movie sets....and this sort of behavior has followed him practically every movie he has made. His excuse..."Well, I mightve said something that wasn't received in the way I meant it." Once a horses behind...always a horses behind!!!
