@@rosesbloomtulips If you ever notice your skin or eyes or lungs get irritated after going to a pool or being exposed to pool water, it is almost always because of the chlorine. Swim in Salt Water and you just won't have the same problem, and salt is pretty good at cleaning water. But pools use chlorine instead of salt cuz it's cheaper.

Radiation from a nuke especially if it is an air burst explosion dissipates immensely fast, hell after 14 years the area would probably be habitable again. It's nuclear reactors melting down and their fuel being left behind or a huge majority of nukes going off that would leave radioactivity for centuries. What would be bad is if the U.S and Russia would release the thousands of war heads they have (tens of thousands during the cold war). But a couple wouldn't fuck the planet up to bad, the U.S and soviets detonated hundreds during the 20 century for testing.
