I like how Bill keeps ruining his own life. With most other characters the Gang has some hand in the ruining of their lives but Bill's life was ruined entirely through his own actions, the Gang just happens to be there when it happens.

Plus, it was his choice to do it, it's not like with Cricket where he was manipulated or tricked into doing the things that ruined his life, Bill did everything that ruined his life himself. As I said the gange just happens to be there or occasionally doing those things with him.
@@skullton3292 Bill also had a huge drug problem, which didn't do any favours with his family. Dee might've been the catalyst for the divorce and addictions, but plenty of middle aged men ruin their life all on their own all the time
The motto of this show is "The Straight Man Is A Lie" They have a real talent for introducing a straight man character and then peeling the layers back until they are as unhinged as the gang. The Lawyer, The Waitress, Artemis, Cricket. Pretty much every recurring character in the show begins as a straight man character
Pondy trying to slide over the hood of his car and eating shit on the cement and immediately getting back up in a panic is the best few seconds of the whole show
Bill Ponderosa's spiral isn't even Dee or the Gangs fault. Dee may have slept with him, but he claims to be a sex addict who constantly cheated and his wife clearly suspected this, we even see one of his mistresses, and Dee sleeping with him was just his final straw that caused him to confess to his wife, so Dee being a large boney bird was so disgusting he confessed
After Frank’s line “how’dya like a taste of the good life, ya sack of shit?!” I’ve seen it roughly a million times and it’s gotten me every single time lol
I love this guy, hadn't really watched the show much but what an amazing character. There is a little bit of every man in Ponderosa. He is every train wreck friend rolled into one. He is also a great father to Sheldon. 👍
