Bill Simmons just demonstrated that it's levels to this analysis thing. As much of a Boston fan as he is, he's always possessed an understanding and objectivity on the league. I'm not saying he's always right or perfect. But he gets "it".

When it comes to sports personalities, Cowherd is a C+ to B sports analyst since he likes to grade a lot of the players in the NBA. Bill is A+ everyday and twice on Sunday in my opinion 👀

The difference is because people on FSN are sensationalists, and so they get clicks all the time. The audience that Bill Simmons attracts has historically not been big enough to satiate the ratings machine.

Sure, you can say that Gilbert didn’t do enough during LeBron’s first stint with the Cavs, but he and Griffin did everything they could from 2014 to 2018 to construct a championship team.

Bill isn't ALWAYS right but his knowledge of nba history is second to none and he just gets how the league works. He's one of the smarter nba guys along with Zack Lowe, Howard Beck, and Ryen Rusillo. These guys make the TV talking heads look like screaming idiots.

I think LeBron always wanted to make a short run for the title in Cleveland and Gilbert knew, if they had a deal or not we will probably never know, but if he was going to stay for good and retire there he'd prefer having Wiggins than Love. I cant see LeBron playing for Dan Gilbert after all he's done, he came back for the people and won a ring for them, now it's over and bye bye. I'd have done the same, Gilbert doesn't deserve to profit out of James' work. I don't know if James is going to the west but that will sure help Bill and his Celtics leaving the east wide open for them dominate for years like LeBron has been doing since 2010.
