Some of the worst takes ever by Fox sports television and radio host Colin Cowherd. Hear his thoughts on the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James, Ben Simmons, Luka Doncic, NFL, Josh Rosen, Sam Darnold, Lamar Jackson and more.
I read your comment before seeing it. I waited for it and laughed so hard, way harder than I expected. I'm one of those people who finds stuff funny, but rarely laughs out loud unless something is hilarious. And this was absolutely hilarious. I loved very detail. The deadly serious, ice-cold stare directly into the camera, his palm condescendingly raised to the screen as if to shew LeBron away, and then saying the goofiest thing I've heard in ages, possibly ever. This was just perfect. **chef's kiss**
That’s the problem with these shows and pre-draft reports. You can’t really know, there’s so many factors, BUT on tv you need to have a strong take rather than just being grounded.
In all fairness, Darnold was a great QB. He simply got drafted onto the wrong team. He isn’t the first NFL caliber QB to have a career ruined simply by being placed onto the wrong squad. This could happen to every great QB.
Nothing on EARTH will and hasn't aged worse than that ending. Makes you want to reach through the the screen and smack him on his head and tell him, "Shut yo dumb ass up!". 😂
@@JasonFlemingMusic Skip Bayless would be the easiest target cause he has a MASSIVE hate boner for LeBron. No matter what the big NBA star does outside of basketball, he can still hear Skip yelling his lid off 24/7.
Goff played pretty good this past season, and Detroit is becoming more and more legit. His stats are pretty much identical to Mahomes, even if Mahomes is on a meh season. A GOAT, or one of the greatest ever? No, def not, but credit where credit’s due
it just shows, the ability to fill an endless amount of air time, a decent voice, and saying what the audience wants to hear is all you need to be successful in the sports industry
Coach - doesn't matter System - doesn't matter Teammates - doesn't matter But what about Avery Bradley Colin? I thought not having him is why LeBron was going to lose to the Clippers? Must be nice to have a short memory and just be a prisoner of the moment guy instead of actually being a sports analyst.
he knows his shtick. speak with 100% confidence and even if you look like a COMPLETE IDIOT saying what you are saying, that only is going to get more eyeballs on your show and your paycheck is only going to get bigger and bigger......
He really said Marvin Bagley was his first pick 😂. Out of the top 5 picks there’s a future MVP, a clear All-Star talent, a DPOY, and a 20 PPG big yet he managed to pick tue only one that’s probably out of the league in 1-2 years…
At the time even Lebron said he didn’t mind the comparisons to Ben Simmons. The problem with Ben was his lack of work ethic when it came to his jumper and his general basketball IQ
Bro i never listened to this guy before and i was just blown away by even the first clip. He wasn't wrong about a few things, but legitimately EVERYTHING. Even with the imagining the context of his arguments in 2020 he managed to rattle off 20 terrible takes in less than 40 seconds.
That first clip is also remarkable because dummy Cowherd HATES analytics (has his own version called “manalytics”) and Defensive Wins Shares just rolling off his tongue lol
Yeah but it’s painfully obvious he doesn’t watch sports much anymore. Like if you follow any sport he covers closely he doesn’t even have a basic idea of what’s going on. It’s really wild
Just a reminder that the Cardinals took Josh Rosen in the 2018 draft and in the 2019 draft they had the 1st overall pick and took Kyler Murray. Shows how good Josh Rosen was😂
This man might as well be Nostradamus because he said Lamar Jackson isn't close to Sam Darnold and Josh Rosen. Truer words were NEVER spoken. Colin can see the future.
The problem is the worse you as a college QB the better system and team you get put into. Rosen and Darnold got put into dumpster fire teams. Lamar simply was not a great QB in college. He was an explosive runner which doesn’t translate well into the NFL. He does have an MVP but he hasn’t won much and now the injury bug is catching up to him.
@@joshuaevans6065 Lmao Rosen just straight-up sucks, yes he was put in a dumpster fire team but he somehow managed to turn it into an even bigger dumpster fire.
To Colin's credit, though, he does that "Right/Wrong" segment every Monday, where he cops to what he was wrong about. He's admitted he was wrong about Darnold, Simmons, Allen, etc.
I remember during Tebow mania, Kyle Orton was still starting and the Broncos were struggling and Colin was like "well of course they're struggling, they have no talent", then when they started winning and suddenly it was high-end talent bailing Tebow out.
This dude is the worst. I don’t know how he has a job. How does anyone hire this nerdy guy with zero charisma, and consistently wrong about everything, think to ourselves- this is our guy!
Nah I completely disagree with Colin .. sports media yes but Colin is different he's always thinks he's the smartest guy talking sports.. he literally said 2 weeks ago (with his smuck face and voice) "I spoke to a GM last night who told me that it's takes a 40 year old longer to recover from injuries then a 23 year old" and said it like it was breaking news type of information anyone with a brain knows that .. I don't get why he needs to add the "I spoke to.... last night" like he's deeply connected in the NFL or NBA it's actually hilarious
cowherd wasn't the only one saying bron & AD were not winning in the bubble. after they won those same ppl immediately downplayed the bubble chip . can't make this up lol
It's funny how quickly haters forgot they were saying the Lakers weren't gonna win the 2020 ring yet now they did, all of a sudden it's a "easy Mickey Mouse ring" lmao
Yup and Colin was sorta correct because Avery was their starting guard all season and he was gone and they lost hime court advantage they earned all season
The knowledge level of American sport media personalities with huge platform is encapsulated in one sentence: " I have watched the NBA for four decades, Lebron (it was in 2018 before the playoffs, age 33, year 15, still in his prime and later he had arguably his greatest individual post season run ever) , we are good, you can go, Ben Simmons is next....". Luckily for us, hu did hang around for another 5 years since this absolute trash of a take, and he only managed to have 5 All-NBA selections, 5 All-Star selections, 2 Finals appearances, 1 ring, 1 FMVP, the best post season run ever in 2018, led the league in assists, broke the all time scoring record etc.....achieved countless great things, while Simmons is still recovering from mental and non existent spine issues after not having the balls to dunk on Trae Young....Colin, you are an idiot, yet somehow you landed in the sport media business and earn millions of dollars...better than hitting the lottery i guess. But do not worry, you are not alone in this business with awful takes like this
Ya know, of buffalo got darnold and Cleveland got j. Allen, it's possible Darnold would have been well coached and protected and been a top 15 qb. J Allen would be erratic and inaccurate. Depends where you go
This video is even more hilarious when it's followed by that commercial for his podcast that they play during NFL games. "It doesn't matter how many times I'm right, you'll still argue with me!" 😂💀
I remember being a senior in high school around the 2018 draft and just scratching my head about why everyone was so big on Sam Darnold. Even as a high schooler I could’ve told you that wasn’t gonna work out anywhere he went. Everyone around me kept saying he was gonna be the best qb of the class and I legit couldn’t find anything about him that told me he was better than Josh Allen
“when he loses to the clippers or milwaukee or boston” not only was he wrong about lebron losing, he was wrong about who made it to the 2020 finals in the east twice at the same time AND about the clippers even making it far enough to play the lakers😂😂
It would be even funnier if somebody took the time to record what he said immediately AFTER these wrong takes were proven wrong. He'll legit come on air and tell you he told you this would happen 😅
No he wasn't. Wade and AD are far better than Pippen. If Pippen got drafted to the Cavs he would've got traded. LeBron doesn't wait for players to develop. He snatches up every developed player and then they take all the blame for the losses.
Just like Colin Cowherd and Nick Wright...they will always defend their own even if they suck They have a hatred for any white or black athlete who won't cuck and jive and buck dance for them
He’s not always wrong. If your job is to share all of your sports opinions almost every single day you’re going to eventually have a very embarrassing compilation 😂
Honestly don't even blame him for the Ben Simmons take. He was right on about Simmons game, it's just nobody could've predicted he would just outright refuse to improve his shot. His first few years Ben Simmons really was box office.
