OMG, finally I found this! Everytime I told ppl about this song and video they never knew what I was talking about! I haven't seen or heard this since I was a little girl. I was starting to think I imagined this! So happy to have discovered it. What a treasure by a wonderful artist!

So long, Bill. R.I.P. my friend, even though we never met. This video is one of my favorite memories of the mid-1980s, a period during which I was stuck in Chicago - because of my job - freezing my butt off. Love you, man.

It’s sad that this was Bill’s last hit before he retired from the music business. He got tired of the way the executives at Columbia Records treated him and refused to work with them again.

My dad lost his cousin to cancer today and Bill Withers died. What a depressing year.

This man reminds me of my father. My father kind of looked like him, loved to sing his songs, and also had a beautiful singing voice. I am just today finding out that Mr. Withers is no longer alive. It makes me feel a little sad. However, I’ll be ok. Because I will continue to “lean on” my Heavenly Father, allow him to “use me” to help others, and when I wake up tomorrow morning, it’s gonna be another “lovely day, lovely day, lovely day, love-ly day...🎵🎶 a lovely daaaaaaaaaaaaaaay....”
