Billie Bust Up - All Boss Fights So Far (No Damage/One Hit Mode) 

I’m surprised that the devs can perfectly make the music fit with the boss, and make sure that nothing goes wrong somehow

I have to admit; it takes a certain type of genius to coordinate the boss attacks with the lyrics and beat of the song. Playing this game is going to be like dancing to the amazing music.

If these two bosses have such good music, i am super excited to see what they come up with for either secret bosses or final bosses!

Boss 1: calm but angry Boss 2: *The definition of psychotic*

Barnaby is probably one of my favourite characters I have seen in recent memory. Design and personality sell him so fully, and all I know of him is that he really wants you in his party, and he insists you join.

Fantoccio is voiced by Michael Kovach, aka the same dude who voiced Angel Dust from Hazbin Hotel and N from Murder Drones

A game where the bosses sing to you as they try to kill you?! Sign me up! This is literally what I do either aloud or in my head when I play against bosses in games. Have them sing their own songs to the background music. Oh this is a dream come true! What even is this? Is the full game playable yet?

This pre-alpha footage of this game is actually perfect, I have a feeling this game is gonna be my favorite

This game looks fantastic. I'm sitting on pins and needles for this game to come out

Honestly this is so good for an early alpha though its so clear that fantoccio's fight is very early in development from the clear lack of sound effects and an ending to the stiff early animation and lacking background. In the future I hope they add more things going on in the background like maybe have the crowd be a more active part of the fight or maybe make fanto fly around more actively throughout the fight as it progresses.

I know this fight is still in pre--Alpha, so I really hope the Fantoccio fight gets a bit of a second pass. It's good right now, and obviously the song is great, but some of it feels a bit disconnected from the lyrics, and the fireballs and some of the hand clapping don't particularly match up to the rhythm of the song super well. Like I'd really like to see Sharkespeare A) get a visual upgrade a bit so he's wearing Shakespeare like clothes and B) have him more involved in the pirate part of the fight instead of hanging out in the corner. And the lyrics mention a lion, a bear, and neither show up during that part. And the finale I wouldn't mind visually it being a bit more bombastic in the background. With colors or fireworks or flames or something. However what I do really like is the ceiling falling apart during the third act, that gives it a real feeling of Fantoccio losing control and not paying attention for when the set falls on him. This maybe sounds overly nit picky or negative, but I just REALLY like this song, of the two released so far it's my favorite and I'd just really like to see this fight get a bit more polish like Barnaby's fight. But again, this is pre-alpha, it's still really early in development, and I imagine a lot of it is being done by one person, it's just visually/thematically it doesn't feel quite as polished as Barnaby's chase and I hope it eventually will be. The song is basically perfect, I've listened to it on repeat a billion times.

i love how this game and ESPECIALLY the cutscenes look more like an animated video than a game

This feels like a love letter to many games at once. I vary much feel Inspiration from a hat in time and super mario (specifically the way billie skates on ice and does pirouette jumps)

imagine if there were a Billie bust up crossover with a hat in time, that would be epic!

Clever. Right before every sequence that had a part with the music, you slide down a ledge, I'm gonna bet the slide is faster or slower depending how slow you were to run, so the next segment hits the timing of the lyrics (crocodile cage & pillow)

This seems like my type of game I’d enjoy. It’s similar to “just shapes and beats” and it’s stupidly difficult

I'm gonna be honest, due to the contrast between the most outer "eye ring" and the second "eye ring" it makes the third "eye ring" seem more like an eye lid when hes looking towards the middle and bottom (where billie usually is)

This game so far absolutely slaps in every way. The bosses are cool and so is the music. Can't wait until it comes out!

I hope in another update they make Barnaby's animations in the chase more like the cutscenes, he just sorta bobs his head around and talks for most of the chase while in the cutscene he's more expressive and bouncy 5:39

A lot of people talk about how Barnaby is very similar to Snatcher from AHIT, but what i dont see enough people talking about is how his level gives me similar vibes to Train rush from that game, albeit a little less chaotic but also possibly harder since you cant see where youre going as easily

I’ve seen bosses like the great mighty poo and the phantom, but this definitely blows those bosses out of the water

Playable disney villain songs alone are such a great idea, even if this game was just a boss rush I would be sold

Love how Barnaby isn't a villain villain, just trying to get you to join the party in a flashy and not boring way Shame you need to be a ghost to join in the party, we all know all the best people are crazy

The second boss battle has a very catchy music that he's been singing throughout this entire chase and I can't get it out of my head. 😅😅😅

I think my only real complaint so far is that Barnaby looks a little stiff for such a fluid character (which you can easily write it off as making him not too distracting so people can actually focus on the gameplay so it’s not a huge deal) and occasional glitches (like reappearing randomly after sliding down the ramp) but this game is in pre-alpha and it looks really cute and fun. Definitely seems really cool and I love the use of music in these boss fights and how the boss attacks are coordinated to the lyrics of their song, it’s super impressive.

Never seen or heard of games that have singing in their musical themes for BOSS FIGHTS, that deserves some different kind of respect

I really like both of the bosses, but I actually like Fantoccio more. Maybe it's because I'm Italian (fantoccio is the italian word for dummy), because I'm a theatre kid (even if I'm still a newbie), but I don't love the song, the boss fight and the character itself. He's so cute and genuinely having fun and performing, but he can also be antagonistic and pretty evil, like he wants to control Billie's life and make her his puppet. I can't wait to see what his cutscenes and boss fight are going to look like in the finished game.

I like Barnaby’s boss fight more than the first guy’s, because of the vibes that I get. He gives me the impression he’s going to be a more significant villain like Snatcher was

Everyone talks about Barnaby singing the line "I thought I'd try the guillotine" and how it was from an older version of the song. Obviously the guy who was supposed to sing that line called in sick the day Billie showed up.

Despite the fact that the game hasn’t even come out, Fantoccio and Barnaby are such endearing characters. They feel so genuine and believable, and that’s in spite of the fact that we haven’t seen much dialogue outside their battles and introductory cutscenes. I can’t wait to see the full game when it releases, I get a feeling this is going to be a masterpiece that’s full of heart, and is going to be one of those indie games I beg everybody to play lol
