@@kourtnie3609 In order to do a cover of a song that you can legally monetize and distribute, you obtain what's called a mechanical license (which most music publishers allow, since you're basically you're pay them to do their song, plus it's free advertisement for their original). If they did that, then Halocene rightfully owns this arrangement, and the show should've gotten the public performance license (which you also get from the music publisher in order to perform the song publicly, like on a TV show) through them, not Billie Eilish's publishing company.
I know this is originally by Billie Eilish but I get such a Paramore vibe from it! Idk if it’s because if they girl’s voice or the indie-rock sound, but I love it!!
I don't think they usually sound like paramore but I get where you're coming from. This cover has some kind of Paramore vibe to it. I don't know what it is but it's there. Also, nice taste in music.

@@MooniPlays Imagine that you spend money getting royalties to be able to use the song but can tweak it to your heart's content just to have a multimillionaire tv not paying you or asking you if they can use your arrangement of the song that you create to make a cover of that song. There's a difference between asking permission and then tweaking it's content to make it your own and blatantly just take that said content and make it 100% identical without asking permission. Billie only own the original song and it's lyrics, not the said arrangements and how this cover tweak
I have nothing against Billie Eilish, I actually do love her style, dark and stuff But I honestly can't listen to the original version of this song, and not cause "I listen to rock and metal, so I don't like other genres"...I just don't really like this song because...I don't really know But this cover is just so AWESOME, and the last part gives me chills!
Honestly, I couldn't give a shit about Billie until I heard Halocene's covers, namely this one. Now I dig it. Halocene is REALLY good at showing me that the songs they cover are very well written and bringing out the best parts of them, enough that I'll end up appreciating the original a lot more.
I have to admit I really really love the drum part of this cover. Everything else is good also, but the drums truly make this cover as good as it is. 👍❤

This whole song gave me those musical shivers. I love the creativity and new intensity you guys brought to the song. I came from the Masked Singer video and just want to say what they did is unforgivable. The sad part is I’m sure they 100% knew it was a cover/original work from Billie’s Bad Guy but they figured the audience and public in general wouldn’t know any better. Disgusting. You guys are going to win this because it’s without a doubt yours.

@@UnIVCubed Australia has season 2 coming next year. BTW it wasn't the singers choice to use this version. Also it wasn't the Australian people who stole it. It was the American company who owns it the channel (CBS)

I love your Billie eilish rock covers! It puts a really refreshing intensity into the songs. I wish you’d do more! I think it’s also be really cool if you had a part of your music video of the three of you jamming out together, because when you listen to the music and watch the visuals, the lead singing doesn’t seem as intense as it sounds. Just a thought, keep up the good work!
Thanks Erin, we plan to keep doing more Billie songs. We create everything ourselves, including all of our videos. So, we don't have another person to film all of us together.
