I couldn't really do a tutorial on my exact process, I'm still very much a novice when it comes to imitating instruments and stuff. For this project, I've been working it for years ever since it came out, but as I got better at producing I would just go back and tweak it. My first big push was hearing that they only used Keyscape and Omnisphere for their productions, so I knew that the piano sound had to be in there somewhere. All I did was put the chords into FL Studio, add a sidechain, and then go through each sound in Keyscape until I found Lonely Basement. The other sound that is exact came from going through every single preset in Omnisphere (took forever), playing the highest note, middle note, and lowest note to see if the tones would match. After that, I found Dream Frontiers. From this process I found a whole lot of sounds from their other songs, like Midnite Rail 1 from NDA, Dulcitone Christmas from ilomilo, Quackerbass from Copycat, Major Choral Drama from bury a friend, and LA Custom Dark Score from No Time To Die. The other sounds aren't very accurate, I'm not happy with the flute. If anyone knows where they could've gotten the flute sound from, that would be helpful. For the percussion, I extracted their samples directly from the Beats video about the making of everything I wanted. There's a brief moment where they play the stems on their own, so that was helpful in breaking things down further. The clap sound was so pivotal and I had no idea how I could remake it accurately. I made the stick percussions myself, the one that plays through the whole song are actually two sounds from SampleFocus, which is a bongo hit (gives it tone), and a bucket drum hit (which gives it punch). The second stick sound I also got from samplefocus, it's just a basic stick noise that I EQ'd until it matched the tone of the original. Another help came recently from a podcast episode from a show called Song Exploder, where they did an episode on everything i wanted. Very briefly, there are times where stems are isolated so I would just play them over and over while I matched sounds in omnisphere to get them as close as possible. I also like to use Dolby Atmos files too. My biggest tool was probably lalal.ai, which separates stems using machine learning, which is very helpful for me. I wish there was a less agonizing way that I knew of but this is the best so far. Hope my ramblings are helpful! Thank you :)
@@HansonJ THXX SO MUCH YOU'RE THE BEST. And sorry for being so annoying but do you know how to solve the error of keyscape and omnisphere that says: couldn't find stema folder?? I would really appreciate your answer. And if you could tell me how to get better at production i would be eternally greatful. I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR REPLY AND NEVER STOP DOING THIS 💟💟💟
@@hugowatson1163 Thanks for the kind words!!! Honestly have no idea about the STEAM folder, Omnisphere was such a pain to install I fully blacked out while doing it. Eventually I got everything fixed by just slowing down and reading the steps I guess
