you can literally FEEL her pain when she sings it. it’s like reliving your own experiences in your head too as you listen. it’s incredible that she can transcend to so many people because so many of us can relate. great artist, truly!
The first time I heard this song I called my mom to make sure I'm actually 28, and not 16 crying so easily from this beautiful talented bby singing to where I am in my life. I can't wait to see what she does, she is for everyone. Such talent!
I'm not a Billie Eilish fan but, this is a great song. Its the Broken Hearted's anthem. Very emotional, and you can feel the pain because we've all been in a crappy relationship.
Thats one of the things she said in her concert, no matter the age we are all entitled to having the same enjoyment at her concert and no one should be embarrassed
Enjoyed your reaction. On this album there are several times she is singing higher than previously, mainly in her harmonies. But the last track Male Fantasy, the whole song is sung in a higher place than her other songs. (I think it's beautiful.) She has mentioned in interviews that that is the song she worries about the most for live concerts when we FINALLY get them.
Love your reactions. Check out the live version of Male Fantasy. It’s the last track on the album, following this one, and it is a stunning closer imho!
i listened this song more than 90 times i think and i always come to the same mood, of cry , in the part she said " YOU MADE ME HATE THIS CITY" shit!"!! this song is one of the most emotive and intense in feelings i have listening on my foking life no matter gender or time!!
I prefer singers like Billie and Taylor because I want to hear stories instead of big notes and screaching sounds. Some vocal coaches. They always want big notes but songwriting and storytelling is always better. This song is perfection.
Hi Zoe - this is the first time to your channel and I’m very intrigued by you & your analysis. I love the fact that you do not give negative advice/suggestions, it tells a lot about you as a professional, but more importantly as a beautiful soul. This was a great reaction video so you just gained a new sub!! ❤️
Oh … YOU HAVE TO SEE THE VIDEO! I’ll give my personal interpretation then, BUT… If an artist has to sing ‘differently ‘ as a tool of “ reinventing themselves “ I feel that they aren’t being true to themselves and really doing themselves a disservice. YES, OF COURSE- Every artist changes over time, especially when starting at such a young age. However when you need to REINVENT VS EVOLVE it’s really just a gimmick. But as much as I Love Billie I also love and have mad respect for her whole family. She and Finneas were born to parents who, although involved in “ The Industry ‘ homeschooled them and nurtured their talents and interests. House filled with music and instruments and dance, art, etc AS well as education ( even though Finneas described his diploma as “ written in ketchup “ 😂). Again, humility and reality vs ego and bs. Both of them give such great interviews that are funny, honest, and real. I’m a 55yo mom of 2 ( same age as Billie) and I want to see her live so much. I’ve seen Finneas and have tickets to see him again this November.
Her sound changed because she experiments and has matured. Her last album was created when she was 15-16 years old. She created this album at 18-19. Of course her sound will change. She's more mature, she has more experience. Billie has always been someone who likes to experiment. The sound is not what tells you if an artist is being authentic. It's the lyrics of what they're saying. If anything, I'd say this album is even more authentic then her last one.
@@ZoeStibiVocalCoach Just now I was looking at all your reactions and analysis to Billie, wondering if you haven't seen Misery Business and I found this xD. By the way, I'm just getting to know you but I'm loving your videos uwu
Love your reaction. I too would be happier than ever if you could have a listen and react to Ernie Zakri of Malaysia performing live "Ku Bersuara". Thank you.
Great reaction - again! 👍 I just love this song, I think it's one of her best (if not THE best) so far. I can't wait to see and hear her perform it in concert next year! I'd like to suggest other live performances, which I think are awesome: Billie Eilish - Billie Bossa Nova (Live at Unserding Radio) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_6tSLuwM7xI.html Billie Eilish - Getting Older (Live Lounge) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sQUNW7qI9zY.html Billie Eilish - Male Fantasy (Official Live Performance) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i7YvaaAkRCw.html Lorde - Stoned At The Nail Salon (Rooftop Performance) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Hj5aX9UxbAk.html Lorde - Solar Power (Rooftop Performance) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gmMJXZyR0jw.html Would love your reaction! 🙏
@12:05, could you please help me?!? Nobody will because I'm not "somebody" I promised my big brother when he died that I wouldn't stop, we used to record together..I'm not gonna lie, I did stop for a bit it was like he took the music with him...but I'm back n ready...n nobody will give me the time of day!😞😰💔
Can u react to Solar Power by Lorde? 💛 Some ppl are saying is a flop but it really is a masterpiece. The melodies, armonies, vocals, lyrics, message, everything on point.
There are three lapel mics weaved inside her garments supported by a battery and a wireless pack. Sounds from all of them are mixed. Even the guitar and drums are not "live" but mixed for broadcast TV. Audio engineering for TV is way more complex than a stage performance.
But why does Billie intentionally sing with a overly fake deep voice almost void of any emotion, there is simply no tension and release in her songs, save for the carefully orchestrated music. And this song is consistent with the bulk of her material, becoming brokenhearted and revengeful from her relationships with (so) many men. Always taking no blame for the relationship breakdown. Nothing new here in this new song of hers.
I don't think that this is overly low or fake. Actually she speaks around the same pitch. I don't like to judge people for their decisions and if she decides to date (so) many people that is her decision in life, but judging from the documentary she actually only had one bf. Anyway, the lives of others don't interest me that much, it is all about the music for me.
@@ZoeStibiVocalCoach Exactly, 90 per sent of the songs are created and worded (final words) by Finneas, his experiences of relationships and or adult friends of his..Billie provides the angelic voice that Finneas obviously doesn't have. No doubt the girl can sing, just listen to any of her live acoustic sets. But for some unknown reason her voice is hidden and distorted in the mix of many of her studio songs. Again, Finneas is responsible for this.
