Billionaire Dangote on Nigeria's Fuel Subsidy, Oil Prices, Soccer

Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote said that ending Nigeria's gasoline subsidy is a “sensitive issue” in the nation that is used to cheap fuel. He also says it seems that the "time has passed" for him to buy the Arsenal soccer club. He speaks with Bloomberg's Francine Lacqua in New York.

Well done Dangote group, however you cannot do it alone. Nigeria needs more industrialists. Dangote should definitely forget about owning Arsenal and consider buying a Nigerian club. I'm sure he has a local club that he supports.

Oil refineries are a very capital intensive industry. I hope that there wasnt a better industry in Nigeria to put all these funds in order to create well paying jobs for more people , getting people out of poverty and increase Nigerian exports.

@@georgeiv6925 Most stifling at the moment is the need for forex. The refinery ends the daily imports of refined petroleum n saves on the much needed forex which will then go on to stabilize the local currency...killing many birds with one stone...or should i say one refinery...
