I think it would have been better if it was more realistic and she continued to stay away from him. He learns his lesson and maybe find real love again with another person. There just some things people should not be forgiven / forgotten for.

Not if you found out he was a rare guy and only 0.08% of worlds population make his kind of money. He had to test you because men like that dont gamble with their lives unless they know they can win, if he showed his true self women will put on an act, and since these kind of men have a hard time getting authentic connections from people because of who he is. basically if he knew what a real connection with a woman was, he wouldnt need to be testing women because he would have already been with her.

Yeah the movie doesn't have a very good lesson, but the movie was never directed to have one. Its a romance specifically aimed at the female psychology of taming a wild beast. Women have this spiritually romantic primitive desire to tame something that cannot be tamed. This movie and the million others like it all have the same female fantasy. Recognize it once and you'll recognize every time after.
