why are there so many cars? you'd think a dense city such as NYC would start reducing car use within its city. The lifestyle of being that packed together isn't serviced very well by having so many facilities dedicated to car travel... Cars take up a LOT OF SPACE. and in NYC space is very premium. IMO they need to strip down many roads to 1 single car lane, and build trams around the city, as well as bike paths like Amsterdam and Paris. I reckon many inner-city folks don't want to get around by car.

Thomas, thank you for the walk and talk in one of my favorite areas of town. When my daughter was going to Gabelli at Fordham. I was in the area quite a bit and have a ton of photos. 220 CPW is actually on my list to photograph my next trip back. i strangely like 432 the best for some bizarre reason, as I am more into older and mid century architecture. Best to you, big fan down here in Atlanta.

Sounds great! Please let me know when you're in town - may want to tag alone with you for the shoot. I am currently in the process of putting together a photo book of notable places we pass on the stream. Lastly - check out Alwyn Court 180 W 58th Street!

Every time I hear of something as "the most expensive" its from some rich arab or russian oiler that has bought up some building and now markets it as "this is the MOST ..." this and that. They selldom have the class or heritage to claim anything of the sorts. If you want true luxury you probably already know where to find it, these tacky billionaires trying to make a quick buck or name for themselves probably have these buildings mostly vacant, they got them because some company moved out and now the city doesn't know what to do with it, it's just something for them to brag about to get approval from the masses, real wealth knows the difference and would never associate or be found in these kind of places.

432 Park Avenue would be perfect for a recluse. They'd never have to leave the premises with a private restaurant only for residents. I can't help but wonder... 1. What hours does the restaurant operate? 2. Does one need to make a reservation or can one just show up whenever they feel like it? 3. How many residents use the restaurant on a daily basis at any given time? 4. And since it's private does that mean one party or person can dine there alone and in seclusion? Or does it mean they might bump into a neighbor or two at random intervals? I find it fascinating!

Yes, we know there are tall buildings in NYC; it's not necessary to point your camera at every one of them! It would help immensely, however, if you would occasionally point your camera at the street signs so we would know where we are and which direction we are walking.
