The compound V they take is a Gov. mix made specially for them, which puts them in the power range of Mid tier supes. The Female (Kimiko) being low High tier. Most of the boys besides Hughie and Kimiko are ex military and in Kimiko and Butcher's case also ex hitman and gangster respectively. Most of the supes in the comics are more or less civilians with powers while The Boys are trained government spooks with powers, who are far more comfortable and predisposed to violence than much of the supes they encounter.

The show turned hughie into a sweet, good hearted loveable Everyman and turned him into a whiney man child with an inferiority complex. Frenchie is a sniveling coward, Billy is a cuck, as is mothers milk. They also pull several punches in the actual front of corporate mockery (with the show made by Amazon I can’t imagine why) not to mention they try every truck in the book to get you to feel bad for violent sociopaths, and they make the actual boys non threats in their own story.

honestly, they can fix it easily. just explain that weapon made from special materials. something like adamantium or vibranium in the boys universe. which is strong enough to harm supes. (example : in demon slayer. you can harm the demon by using a weapon made from special steel called nichirin sword. or Tokyo ghoul. you can harm the ghoul by using the weapon that made from their kagune ) or just like the trick that most manga,japanese games like to uses. the weapon created from user's power. stronger the user, the stronger the weapon. (example : grim reaper and their sword from bleach, sparda and devil sword sparda from dmc. etc) still wonder why the author chose to ignore these trick. and let the protagonist uses normal weapon to harm supes like that....

and besides. I glad that supes in TV show using their fist as main weapon. it can deny the plot hole of weapons durability even easier than those trick I said. since it's the part of body. if you take a compound v and earn super power. your fist will get it as well. no need any reason to explain. besides fist. claw, horns , fangs, teeth , tail ,wing or any limbs that can used as weapon is good choice as well. because it's have sharpness and it's part of the body.
