Just got back from seeing Billy in concert in Washington, D.C.. Never mind his health troubles, he gave 2 1/2 hours of MAD JOY. Brilliant. Genius. We were pained from laughing. I'm truly grateful to have had the opportunity to see him in person.
+Erlyk Dalkien I think I read somewhere, that Robin called him the day before or something and Billy said in an interview that he thinks Robin was trying to say goodbye because he said "I love you" to Billy...
I mean this with all my heart. Billy Connolly is one of my most FAVORITE people in the world. I’ve watched every. Single. Video. Of his on RU-vid. I’m too young and missed his early career but I watched all his videos and he is such a brilliant man. I feel like he’s been an unintentional mentor for me. I love him with all my heart and wish I knew how he was doing. I can’t find anything online about how his health’s been. I know he received knighthood earlier this year and that’s the last thing I know. If anyone knows how he’s been please let us know. I ♥️ you Billy Connolly!!!!
Happy Birthday Billy. May you have many, many, more. Bless you sir. You have made me laugh for decades and for that I thank you because laughter in the end is important.
Now nearly 40, I totally get it. Nose hair, involuntary noises, aches and pains in areas that didn’t before. And don’t get me started about the grey pubic hair 😂
My grandma just turned 80 and it's kind of weird to think about how she'll be gone soon, but we have good genes and she's active and healthy so I can see her getting to 90 or higher. Still though that's only about ten more years with one of the most fantastic women I've ever known.
I don't care that he SPOILER in Boondock Saints II, he NEEDS to be in the third one. He's like Rocco, there's no BDS without him! :-D Speaking of which, Sean Patrick Flanery does the best Billy Connolly impressions, hahah
I spent a moment considering Billy's argument that the long nose hair and other comparable changes in an aging body must happen for a reason. Respectfully, there is a flaw in that argument. The way evolution works is that any mutation that increases our ability to survive, mate and raise children to the age where they can reproduce will be amplified and mutations that decrease that ability will die out. Any mutation that only results in a change to our phenotype when we are elderly is really moot. Most people didn't live to be 70 during most of the history of human evolution.
Long nose hair is an adaptation to deal with greater amounts of pollution in our cities. People in cities have more&longer nose hair. Not funny but true :P Also, love you Big yin. Dont ever change :)
I don't find Conan funny at all, but he's one of the biggest tv show hosts in the States. But yeah, most of his comments and interviews are like this, or more annoying.
