I love your reactions man! You are exactly what we need right now! Hang out, laugh and enjoy. There is a TON of Billy to get through, but there’s another great comedian Dave Allen you should check out. Here’s a 2 minute teaser ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N003nbD7wTY.html enjoy!
Billy connolly was no joking about his upbringing he had a hard childhood , but he turned out to be a real gem funny and witty and really intelligent man ..
Sending love from across the pond inn Bonnie Scotland🏴🏴❤️LOVE watching your reactions to Billy, love to see you laughing and loving life😘❤️🏴🏴
I was lucky enough to see Billy in Wales in 1977. I was under the 18 age limit but was smuggled in by an uncle. still remember it to this day as being one of the best nights of my life.
Another beaut 👍. Every Scottish person watching this is owning Billy as their son/brother/father, and why on earth not? Does anyone remember his "banana" shoes? 😂😂
It's true about the water over here. Sunday school trips consisted of a day trip to troon on dunoon (west of scotland) and if they were feeling flush we went to Ayr or Rothsey, we went swimming in freezing cold water.
@@Foxys1974 Come to Australia. Great White Sharks eat half your boat and then go looking for your children. I think you Americans have seen a documentary about the average sharks in Australia? Just remember, you'll need a bigger boat.
Couldn't have timed these videos any better for me was going through a binge of Billy gets me through the bad days and seeing u laugh like I do it's brilliant. Should visit Scotland a lot of funny guys lol
Nice....I often joke about how folk almost always misunderstand the Scots art of self depreciating humour in North America.....and Billy is a absolute master at it!!
The thing is…. I’m almost 47 so born in 76 and grew up in the 80s and what we went through in the west of Scotland (I’m from about 20 miles from where Billy grew up in Partick), how we were raised, or dragged up, would be classed as child abuse now. Battered by your parents for everything, battered by teachers, cops, any adult. A Scottish beach doesn’t have sand, it has pebbles, glass and flint that would slice your feet open if you couldn’t afford penny blacks, and most people couldn’t. The whole world is homogenised now so walking through Glasgow city cebtre now is like walking down Milan or Munich (except for the horizontal hail that drills into your retinas). When I think of the world of my youth changing in the 90s - it’s night and day I imagine everywhere has that cut off. I love listening to Bill because I can relate to the world he grew up in as well as the world we live in now. The thing about that hard Scottish life: there are a hundred Billy Connollys. There were characters everywhere Great stuff
Glad you enjoyed it mate. He's a comedy icon. I've been watching he's stuff since I was way too young to of been 🤣 and It's still as good as ever. He's a timeless talent and he never rehearses he's shows, it's just straight from the mind and out the mouth. A true genius.
An absolute gentleman and easily one of the best reactors on youtube and has the exact same humour as myself i might add so thank you once again for your time and effort it doesnt go unoticed my friend. I use to watch billy with my dad only when my mam was out. Half the jokes back then would of went over my head but his wild presence on stage and his amazing storytelling captures you. But as the years went by his talent grew and i dont think you would find too many like billy connolly. They broke the mould after billy was created just like chappelle burr carlin pryor allen O'Neal.
Loved The Big Yin's humour since the 1970s, have hysterics every time I hear him, his comedy is eternal no matter how many times you hear a repeat it's as funny as the first time, bless you always Billy ,& thank you for all the laughs over the decades xx💖😂
I really enjoyed watching you watch this for the first time. I've watched Billy Connelly since I was a teenager and seeing someone else enjoy it for the first time is brilliant. Have a fab day! Try to get a hold of some Danny Bhoy sets. He's hilarious and might appeal to younger folk. ^_^
The only regret i have is that i will probably never see him live. I found a vhs tape of his in my dad's collection about 25 years ago and ive been a fan ever since
Seen Billy on stage twice, both times the show lasted over 2 and half hours non stop, ached for days from laughing so hard. If you want to see another side of Billy try digging out some his travel documentaries.
Billy was a folk singer with the humblebums a rough folksinger his career started round about 1968 to the 1970s I believe he worked with gerry refferty of Baker Street fame his folk songs were funny dittys
Love the reaction, you don't pause the vid, you just let it carry on and laugh. If you don't mind a few suggestions here are a few for consideration, Sarah Millican, or Peter Kay, or more old school, Dave Allen or Tommy Cooper. Stay safe!
Noticeable to me how much harder Billy had to work with American audiences, half of them loved it, half looked confused or disgusted! I loved it any way
I love Billy Connolly, he's the closest thing I have to a hero. However, other stand ups have said that he never wrote a thing and he made everything up as he went along. This is a myth. One year, as a birthday treat I went to see him live at the legendary Hammersmith Odeon. I was so disappointed when I knew every line of his act. Yes he's brilliant, possibly the best, but he did repeat stories for many years.
Stories come and go in his head, there isn't a comedian alive that doesn't tell a joke multiple times, what they mean is that he doesn't memories a full script like a lot of comedians, he goes out and says whatever comes to his mind 😂 still technically never wrote a thing
Anyone who hasn't seen Billy live the greatest thing other than seeing Billy live is the walk on the stage goes dark then a man's voice says welcome to the stage Mr Billy Connolly and then you adjust your arse in your seat take a big slug of your 10th pint and relax and wait for the best night of your life to begin
An audience with Billy was one of the funniest shows ive seen. The audience was all tv stars from the UK, i think was late 80s. They were in stitches at Billy. I seen him live at Falkirk during his Rebel without a clue tour. It was ok but not as funny as his earlier stuff.. You should look at An audience, it truly is so funny.
You have a good sense of humour! I have an old family castle in Scottland and Craig Ferguson is my hero haha. I'm going to get married in scottland soon ☺️👍
Loving the videos. You should definitely check out his colonoscopy one or the defuckulator they have me in stitches every time i watch it. Have seen it over 10 times lol
Hey, that's one Billy Connolly I hadn't seen. Thanks for that. Regarding Power Cuts ... I live in Australia, and here we call them what you already know: Black Outs and Brown Outs (for short term Black Outs). And hey, I had a Black Out while watching this vid; but thanks to you @Sean's World your teeth bleached into my screen and I was able to read books for a few hours. Thank you Sean. You not only gave me some unknown Billy Connolly to me, you are my night light for reading right.
I really suggest you don't drink or eat anything while watching Billy Connolly. Some of his stuff will have you struggling to breathe with the amount of laughter. You'd risk chocking if you drink or eat something.
If you like Billy, you have to see Kevin bridges. He has taken over from the legend and he is excellent. Good to see an American watching BC. Take care pal
Sir William makes my cheeks hurt. My dad adored this man ,I remember my uncle who lived in England sending him tapes to Canada long before he came to North America. The guy is also a great actor, check out Boondocks Saints.
Billy was known as the "big yin" in the 1960's, when Billy went to Australia billed as a Scottish comedien all the ex pat Scots turned up in kilts expecting to see some one like Harry Lauder or Kenneth McKeller , Billy got boo'd off the stage lol.
