It made my heart happy that a young African American laughed at Billy Conolly in his prime. I’m from the UK and emigrated to the US and you made my heart happy that Billy made you laugh. The Archers were a radio show that my grandparents listened to. You laughed and that mafe me happy that it doesn’t matter the colour of our skin or our accent, comedy knows no bounds. Please listen to Billy and his colonoscopy experience. Thank you for your content.
I remember watching this sometime in the 1980's with my mum and dad. My mother couldn't breathe, my dad had tears running down his face and my face ached with laughing so much. Absolutely brilliant, a true comic genius!!!😂😂
The US didn't know Billy in the 70's and 80's but he's the most successful comedian that has ever been born. Selling out stadium tours faster than the world's biggest rock bands
I was dubious when i first started watching reaction videos, now i see what it truely is, its mutual respect for cultures, to see an American man laughing at a Scottish comedian shows that we are dispite our origins, music, religions and governments still all the same at heart, governments and media like to create divides, youtube lets people be themselve and shows us to have common ground, thank you for helping undo the damage done by mainstream media and politics
I have watched this a few times on telly love it. Your reaction was class it was funnier watching you laughing so much while laughing ourselves thanks great video.
aww sean.....dont know how many times i have watched this but it always makes me laugh like its the 1st time....and your reaction made me laugh even more....thanking U.
Always makes me smile this , every time I hear billy he reminds me of my mum the accent the comedy the whole routine of I’ll take ma hand of yer face ...heard that once or twice growing up
Sean, this man is an absolute legend.....fuckin LOVE him!!!....and aye, I am Scottish, complete with the "blue" words....it just fits!!!....I have seriously almost crashed my car, listening to him....OMG!!!....he needs to be listened to in a safe environment, like the messages on prescription bottles....Don't operate machinery while listening to this....he happened to be a Glasgow guy who made it.....there were HUNDREDS of people like him.....a sentence from them, and you're on the floor.....my auntie was like that, sooooo fuckin funny!!!,,,,and Sean, so glad you have discovered Billy....love him love him LOVE HIM!!!
OMG!!😄😄😆😆🤣🤣🤣👍👍 HE'S SO, SO FUNNY!!! And YOU ARE TOO, SEAN!!👍👍👍👍❣❣❣ Your Laugh is SO GOOD.....MY Son (also SEAN!!) LAUGHS Just like You do...and Grabs his head like You!! You made this SO SPECIAL, and 10x Better, because of how You enjoyed it!!💖💖💖😆🤣 Thanks for a GREAT ONE!!👍👍👍🥳🥳
I've seen Billy live twice in the past, know most of his material but never get bored of listening to him! I think your reactions are great and it gives me happiness seeing you enjoying one of our national treasures... God bless Billy C....
Thanks, really enjoyed your reaction. I still have the same reaction to incontinence knickers every time. You now have a pale blue Scottish person subscribed.
you are the best reactor for comedy, your a good guy and your laugh is very infectious, plus you laugh at all the same shit I laugh at. Most enjoyable Sean nice one bruh
I agree with all of you, he is an amazing man and I'm not saying that because I'm Scottish. I'm 66 and I can relate to what he was saying because as a child we were very poor but held our heads up high but we can think back and make fun of how things made up laugh even today.
It's been a joy watching a comedian I grew up with, I've seen live twice and still consider to be the funniest man alive, in the company of an American dude with an infectious laugh who REALLY gets him.
He was the only comedian whose records were played at parties in the 70s along side music albums. His ‘Crucifixion’ sketch was a must listen every time.
I agree and he looked awful recently and has gone very quiet.. It will be a very sad day when that news breaks. Billy has no peers. A crazy brilliant gentle giant
Love this recording and your reaction. The incontinence pants bit always reduces me to tears. He is so expressive and I like the fact that he doesn't take the piss (see what I did there) in a cruel way
The lovely chaos that is Billy Connolly, "let me tell you something" 25 bypasses later "oh right, i was gonna tell you something" 8 more bypasses "aye yes, right, let me tell you" and then finishes the story he started 25 minutes ago and make you completely loose it. I have seen this special countless times, but incontinence knickers still gets me each and every time lol, the way he plants that image in your mind is simply amazing. Glad you enjoy the show Sean, Billy is a big favorite of mine who i've been following for about 40 years now, ever since a friend or maybe a cousin gave me a audio tape with some of his oldest work on it and have been hooked on his comedy style ever since. What makes him extra special for me is the fact he is such a lovely person in real life. Thnx for the upload Sean :D
@@j0hnn13K well, oddly enough, there were many, many printing errors in early bibles. Just look up "Bible Errata" on Wikipedia. The most famous is probably the "Wicked" bible, so called because it omitted the word "not" from the 7th Commandment, so it reads "Thou shalt commit adultery."
@@uncle_thulhu oh i know a lot of translation errors have been made, but in the days he came with it, it was still near illegal to even suggest such thing, and making it all play out in Gallowgate instead of Galilea was just pure comedy genius ;)
This special formed my whole sense of humour. Thank you for bringing back incredible memories of my whole family helpless on the floor in hysterics watching this on vhs
The theme tune from the Archers is the tune from a very long running and very old radio drama that is still going in Britain. Everyone knows the tune even people who have never listened to it LOL
The Archers is a British radio soap opera on BBC Radio 4-the BBC's main spoken-word channel-broadcast since 1951. It was initially billed "an everyday story of country folk"; and now, "a contemporary drama in a rural setting". Having aired over 19,300 episodes, it is the world's longest-running drama. 🇬🇧
Perfect. Took me right back to my youth watching others laugh so hard. Forgot about you as a reactor but you made me laugh so hard today when I needed it bro
He is the best comedian ever, natural storyteller. Did you know he actually does not prepare any script - simply goes on stage and starts talking. Archers is famous Radio 4 soap opera in the radio.
Brilliant Sean totally loved watching these! Sometimes forget just how good Billy is he was for me the very first great observational comedian. He talks about real life and real people and his comedy is universal whether you are from Glasgow or Gdansk, LA or Lagos we can all relate to his brilliant take on life. Cheers mate
You've probably already been told, but The Archers is a very long-running radio soap opera, going back to the 1950s. Everyone in the UK knows the tune even if they've never heard the programme, it's been spoofed so much.
The Archers, was an old radio series, an audio soap opera. There wasn't that many channels back in the day, tv soaps were in their infancy... The theme tune was very catchy...
brilliant.. UI have been lucky to see him twice on stage. You need to look for another version of this that goes for about an extra hour where he interacts with the audience as they ask him questions. This was brilliant but the full special is awesome
I think I was one of the 1st to recommend this to you, while it was still up on RU-vid. I kinda had an idea you would crack up when you saw the Incontinence pants bit, it floors me everytime & I've watched this special A LOT! 😁🤣
Billy started his career with the humblebums him and tam Harvey later gerry rafferty with tam Harvey Little blue lady was a folk ditty banjo style song later with gerry rafferty was more guitar ballads on their 2nd humblebums album with songs like Patrick Billy folk career started round about 1868 in Glasgow pubs
Quick scan shows nobody's yet explained this (sorry if so), but The Archers is a BBC radio soap opera that's been running since the time radio was broadcast using smoke signals (and is still going).
Can’t go wrong with billy . That’s the thing about Bill , his comedy is observational, with a little bit of the time thrown in. People don’t change that much so his comedy for the most part is timeless 🤣. But check out his world tour of Australia lol it’s brilliant 🤣
Great video bud, Chic Murray the guy who told him the joke about breaking a bar of chocolate in his pocket was a scottish comedian, old matterial but very funny!
I used to have the full concert on vhs, the full hour and a half! I'll never forgive myself for losing it! You never see on these edited versions the start where he "relaxes into the more profane language"
I have seen a better version of, "it's him mammy, he's got his leg in the sleeve of the duvet" But throw away lines double me over. ."Sagittarius, half man half horse, a licence to shit in the street" 😂
As a crazed anglophile from continental Europe myself, I always enjoy other people, especially Americans, embracing British pop culture. One thing you could do me (and yourself) a favour with, is to check out "Alas Smith and Jones" (not "Alias", mind you, cause that's a whole different thing), a comedy show from the 80's/90's featuring Mel Smith (RIP) and Griff Rhys Jones, two brilliant comedians with great chemistry together. The two of them were also introducing Queen on Live Aid back in '85 (as was Billy btw, introducing Elton John), dressed up as police constables, I haven't found any reactions to them yet, which is a pity. There is also a stand-up special by them up on YT for you to enjoy. Trust me, it will definitely be up your alley and worth your while.
