Thats amazing. Find another artist as popular as him who will perform for such a small crowed on a patio like that.. you won't. That's what i love about him.
hahaha high 5 on that! Small crowds would be fun and personal, like performing at a family Christmas or something, ya just happen to be a hotshot famous artist.
+Tomas Burkhart Wow, so cool :) I joined a SP show in Munich Riem Airport 21 years ago (1994) I remember Billy saying it's so fucking hot here. Send him greets from me :)
THIS SONG"DISARM" HAS AN IN DEPTH OF MY LIFE...LITERALLY!!! Imagine being lucky enough to just walk past.... one in a billion, literally. Thanks for uploading! I used to think the line went "There's tequila in me, there's tequila in you"
I saw the pumpkins on lollapalooza in 94 and loved hearing Gish and Siamese Dream! Both records are pure HEAVEN! Billy, James, Darcy, and Jimmy doesn’t get better than that! I’m not gonna lie: I REALLY MISS DARCY BEING IN THIS BAND 💔
This is amazing. Also for those of us that like to do covers it's fantastic to see how someone as Talented as this would play something solo acoustic. Such a rare thing to see. If there is any more please please post
Come on Sam, that's a funny comment! Of course the lyrics aren't that but hey, different strokes for different folks and I'm a Stoakes! See the rhyme word play I did there? ;) Btw, I have had a frew drinks tonight and I do love this vid, it's like what I would want at my 38th b-day party if make a wish foundation made wishes for middle aged guys who may or may not be on their last leg.
if you don't believe me that's okay, but I met Billy in1993 and told him that it would be cool if he put concert bells in a song and he did it just that with the song disarm...... my idea!
Have you ever been to Lake Bluff/Lake Forest? Back in my USN days I used to walk that trail that runs along that road. I recently used instantstreetview to retrace that. But also I got to see Billy's Madam ZuZu's and then retrace highland park back to the lake forest trail.
This is depressing to watch. He went from singing this song in a practice room/studio, to some of the largest crowds there could ever be, and now to this back yard. Where do you think his mind is right now? The studio? The stadiums? This yard?
naw, at first the wgn crew said no pictures or video, but when I realized I wasn't getting good footage trying to video it 'secretly' I decided to go for it.
I wonder what the line "I used to be a little boy" felt like to say in that moment, 20 or so years after this song came out, when he was a young and beautiful man, heading a chart topping band loved worldwide, selling out shows, reduced to playing in some guys yard, alone. He may have gotten old, fat and bald, but his voice and words still ring true to this day
