Thanks Billy. Quite right this isn't just about finals, this isn't an aberration in UEFA's handling of matches all over Europe. All the best to those who were injured and traumatised by Paris. They took a European Cup final off us, we won't forget that.

This is really good news, hopefully changes will happen with every game in the sport. It wasn’t just the fans but members of the Women’s first team and families of the Men’s players/staff that were also caught up. Safety of the fans and players are paramount. Everyone should be able to go to enjoy the beautiful game in a safe, comfortable and friendly environment. YNWA

I'm French, supporter of the reds, and I can say that French politicians and police officers are guilty for this and they admitted this 4 months only after the final. I'm ashamed of how my country's government and police officers are doing their jobs...

This is outrageous. It was clear from the start who the aggressor was and the easy way out was for the people in charge to blame the victims and then rescind the blame, so it moves the spotlight away from Real Madrid and the organizers. I have no clue why no one is demanding justice for what happened and not being angry at this shambolic behavior by the elite of the sport. Sounds like only deaths will cause reform, everything else is just not enough to get real answers.

We attended the final in Paris against Madrid 1981 and had a fantastic time. Thank God our fans behaved and saved many lives. Social media helped prevent another Cover up. YNWA

LFC and the fans involved need to now push and take them to the cleaners.. those fans could have been lambs to the slaughter due to poor policing and organisation from uefa. Well done LFC and Billy

Police and then the politicians were awful. I viewed what French people were saying after event and they weren't surprised about Police tactics, the way Politicians lay blame on fans and especially the gangs. They said the area is a dump, a no go area for Police

Its about the last champions league final between liverpool and real madrid ... Liverpool supporters were tear gassed and peper sprayed by the police authorities before during and after the game , and were falsely blamed for bringing fake tickets and creating ruckus by the authorities.
