Saw him when he was 60. He introduced the song by saying, “Steve let’s show them what a hit song sounds like.” And they did a stripped down version. It was fantastic.
@@Stealth_boyelvis died before billy's first band (Generation X) released their debut album, and long before he went solo. you definitely did not see a photo of them singing together
Billy does a great mic-drop just before he goes for the guitar! I saw him live about 12 years ago, he was perfect. He even did a couple of “crooner, lounge-lizard, Billvis” songs. He has the voice of an an Angel, although he usually hides that very well!
Billy is fantastic!! He still is in 2022 and still sounds great even now!! No autotune! I just love Steve Stevens, he's the best freaking guitarist on this planet!!!
I don't care what anyone says. For anyone wondering why a video from 1983 sounds better than a video from almost 40 years later, it's because analog is so much better than digital.
well will never be better than the quality youtube can spit out. its like buying a gold power cable for your amplifier when the rest of the cables from your wall to the power plant are just standard
Nice experience and when the guitar started to play feeling like the fucking hell, is amazing listen it without a note of autotune. Billy is the fucking boss and Mtv rest in peace i wish i could returned that time.
I know right!! The glorious early 80s when coke was at its peak in purity. Billy was something else, basically came from England to the US and rocked MTV
@@t.ishino7527 "cAn yoU turn on thE air conditioner please? It's fooking hot!" *crowd cheers* *in pirate voice* "tern on the air conditionar or thayse people ar gonna kill ya ah ha ha"
When he sings 'done' you here his english accent😍 and his voice is damn hot. Ugh I'd kill to have him sound like this again or see more performances from that time when his voice was so incredible.
I saw him in R'n Rio in 1991...2 gigs, they were like f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c I'll never, ever forget those 2 magic nights....I like pretty much this wild version of BFI
So blessed to be a child of the 80s. God, I miss real rock stars 🌟 This kind that "sold" their souls to bring us back such vibration and energy, and with a grace and showmanship I can only conceive came directly from the creator himself. I appreciate these artists, and that's what they are because I would have a full blown seizure channeling that much music let alone cocaine..my face went numb just watching 🤘
no one is better than steve stevens as guitar showman! others are his equal, and I'm including here my favorite guitar player, srv, but in terms of putting it all out there, this master is AWESOME! thank you
Billy wasn’t the only one channeling Elvis in the 80s or even in the punk rock scene, there were plenty singers emulating him. That’s why Elvis is called The King.
I love seein what are now crazy old vintage instruments - like his LP Jr - maybe 59. That's equivalent of me grabbin my 1997 Les Paul for a gig - not really vintage but a 59 LP Jr is now super vintage - anyways time man - it passes
