Billy is my favorite of all time, after the Beatles. Fortunate to have seen him in concert 4 times. Just a deep catalogue of great songs.

If you liked this one, I'll highly recommend you listen to "And So It Goes" from Storm Front. I saw Billy in '73 +'75 been huge fan since. But that song blew me away on first listen. Billy Joel has over 60 Classic Tunes IMHO starting w the opening track of Piano Man, Traveling Prayer'. First time seeing BJ, The Ballad of Billy the Kid blew the roof off.

I saw this on the TV in 1978. I don't remember what channel played it. I think it was an ABC premiere slotted in just before prime-time. Man, what a time! I'm so glad I knew the late '70s and early '80s. I loved witnessing a young man such as yourself connect so deeply with a 45 y/o song! Good on you! 😊

Watch it already!) Okay, since I had to waste a suggestion on that last one, which I’m sure has already been suggested by many people, I’m going to add a couple more: The Stranger It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me I have to say I was very torn about another one: Only the Good Die Young. The narrator is basically trying to talk a catholic girl (or woman? I’ve always pictured them both as being in high school.) into sleeping with him. I would say he’s trying to seduce her but he doesn’t even pretend to be in love or attracted to her. As a Christian I don’t like the message - but the music is incredibly catchy and the lyrics superbly written. It’s a very clever song that will stick with you for days - but you didn’t hear that from me! 🤦‍♀🤷‍♀

My favorite song of his ever. Thanks for the reaction. Another song I'd love you to react to of his is Ballad of Billy the Kid. I hope you see this and take it under consideration since most people don't suggest it but it is a great song. He is such a great story teller.
