This was an amazing gig. Once you realised the melody on the piano was kicking in. The excitement started to build for a musical legend to take the stage and perform. One of those gigs to say I was there.

Yes, was there too. What an extraordinary band of talented musicians too. The young black girl was an amazing singer and musician. Could play anything. The guitarist who sang Nessum Dorma pitch perfect, playing a Hard Days Night by the Beatles, Rock and Roll by Led Zeppelin…..all perfect. What a performance and a superb uplifting night.
Sad to think this may of been his last gig in the UK, but it was fabulous, from the Piano Man ... The YT videos never have the sound clarity of the actual night, so Im glad we were there to share it with 65,000 other fans,
I was there and the whole set was incredible. Billy is one of the few artists I love but I'd never seen live before and he blew me away. I'm still buzzing now 4 days later! Daryl Hall was shocking , and I actually love H&O and have seen them 8 times. Rumer was great on the smaller stage, but Billy Joel was next level.

Omg Billy Joel is wearing his famous black ray ban sunglasses! ❤❤❤, I'm literally fangirling here as those were the first things that caught my attention when I first started looking out for live videos. P.S The first concert video was 1990's Yankee Stadium and he still looks cool 😎 in them.

Interesting, the song is originally in D major, now it´s an halftone lower in C#-major, but Billy still plays in D(as you can see in the video, when the spot is on the keys). I wonder how that´s done, Piano tuned down a halftone?
@@dantribe3935 That’s the only explanation, that the grand piano triggers a midi piano, with transpose on. „Piano Man“ was a whole tone lower, in Bb instead of C.😊
Billy plays on a electric piano, you can tune them up or down with just a switch of a button while still playing in the original key. It's all done offstage by his soundguy though. Billy doesn't even turn on his piano haha.
