Love Cody but he isn’t the answer. I’m a bunnies fan and while of course Joey know what Origin requires from a playmaker far better than I do, Cody hasn’t been great for us this year. He’s right, the forwards are not getting Souths rolling. But we can guarantee there will be periods in the Origin series where QLD are preventing us from making many metres in our sets and we need halves who can execute when the going gets tough. I don’t hate the idea of Matt Burton being there, another big body, strong runner and perhaps most importantly a big boot. Could be what we need. Luai also has a tonne of experience and is in good form.

Doesn’t matter that cody is in career worst form, latrells playing terrible and can’t stay fit or even stay on the field and Souths are in last place.
