Nobody could put more concentrated joy into music than Billy Preston!

BILLY PRESTON played keyboard on "Get Back" (a great Beatles hit) and other Beatles songs. He also played on multiple Rolling Stones albums

That was Billy Preston extracting every last iota of funk out of a clavinet, one of my favorite keyboard instruments. Only Stevie Wonder could get that funky on a clavient. Thank you! Peace from SF

"Outa Space " by Billy Preston was one of those tunes that would get everybody on the dance floor. When you walked in the door of the club your feet just went to the dance floor automatically. There was no being shy when "Outa Space" was playing. So much fun.I was a teenager and even now at 66 it still makes me move. Thanks for the speedy reaction.

Billy Preston was the real Sgt. Pepper! Check out the movie "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" (Universal, 1978). He first met The Beatles when he was 16 touring with Little Richard. The only Non-Beatle to be credited on a Beatles' record (Get Back). He really did teach the band to play.

I remember when I started hearing this on the radio as a kid and always wanted this song to continue longer than the radio version and now I know it does. Outta sight!

I was surprised to learn that Billy also composed the song "you are so beautiful, to me" that Joe Cocker recorded! There are many youtube videos of him singing his own song, and playing for Joe on another!

This was one of two instrumentals that got loads of airplay back in the early seventies. The other being "Frankenstein" by the Edgar Winter Group.

Did you ever watch the video where Edgar played about six instruments on that song? Amazing.

Billy Preston was a kind, gentle man, humble and filled with love. His heart was pure and his talent beyond great. You're the same way. You may not hat 100 thousand subscribers, but you have fans that appreciate your diversity is music, and your hard work is greatly appreciated by us all. Thanks again.

Wow, I had the 45 single of Outa Space as a young teen, one of the best dance songs ever. Loved Billy Preston, also known as the "fifth Beatle." The constant bickering between the Beatles in their last years (mainly between Lennon and McCartney) is widely documented, but many people don't know that when Billy Preston was in the room with them they would behave themselves.

This song was the song that was used when I was in 9th grade for Drill Team try outs. I didn't make the team because I sucked! Lol. Billy Preston was so incredibly talented in so many ways. Icon status! He is truly missed.

Nothing from nothing!! Definitely a must hear!! And btw, as to another’s comment about Stevie wonder, Billy also started very young. He was on tv at like 10-11 years old. Also one of few to record a track with The Beatles(Get Back)

There’s nothing like the feel of being in the pocket, everybody clicking, after a long day of struggling to find it, or some days you walk in and pocket right away, and you don’t want to stop playing, then 2 hours later you’re still grooving.
