I first heard about the PID thing, probably at its origin. In 69 I remember listening to a PID thing on a local radio station. I was only 10, but even at 10, all it did was crack me the F up. I love the notion that one of the dudes who set this in motion, maybe the primary dude, wrote a satirical review of Abbey Road in 69 that people didn't get. The irony went over their heads. Shocking. It included made up 'clues' that the conspiracy nutters ate up.

To be honest I'm on the fence with this whole thing but I can knock down a few of your arguments: How much piano did you see Paul play before 67/68? Next to none. A good musician can copy another's style of playing/writing fairly easily. Yes, Left-handed bass & guitar would be difficult but not impossible, he's hardly Jimi Hendrix or Jaco Pastorius. No one ever came away from one of his concerts in awe of his bass playing. Emmitt Rhodes or Neil Innes ie the Rutles would be good reference points: they can crank out high quality, very 'McCartneyesque' melodies with ease. Mark Staycer and the American tribute band 'Tge Fab Four' show that it can all be copied or duplicated extremely authentically. Check out their live Sgt Pepper.

Regarding his bass playing, I'm no musician, like John Clayton, who was impressed, to name just one bass player, but Paul came up with some groovy as shit bass parts, Dig A Pony and Come Together to name a couple. The Paul that wrote Silly Love Songs and Ebony and Ivory is the same shmaltzy, sentimental, cheezy dude who wrote Good Day Sunshine, I'll Follow The Sun, Yesterday, When I'm 64, and so on. Same dude. It's his songwriting DNA on display. BTW, we should dig up Sid Vicious, who couldn't play at all, and ask him to play lefthanded bass. see how quickly he could play shitty bass lefthanded.

As for McCartney eyes, Paul McCartney's eyes are Hazel, which under different lighting conditions Hazel eyes can show different shades of colour!
