A duet between those two greats would have been absolutely fantastic. I'm a hard-core OG who has gotten down in the trenches all my life sand not much has shaken me, but the mere thought of a duet between Billy Stewart and Linda Jones almost bring me to tears. WOW....

We know all about Billy on the Northern Soul scene over in England, he's a legend, i used to DJ, we only play original vinyl no poxy CD's allowed on the decks ! So i got plenty by the big man, a rare talent indeed and a tribute to the Chicago soul scene KTF

The first version of "Summertime" I ever heard was Billy Stewart's, and in my view is still the best I have heard -- and everybody has had a go at THAT one. This "Temptation's out to get me" is just beautiful. What a great voice, and what a great interpretation. Thank you for posting it -- it shows a man of style, talent and great gifts.
So sad if you listen to his songs he was a lonesome man looking for someone to love all his music reflects his emotions. Great Singer 73 yes old and I still love his music.

I use to play bass guitar behind BILLY STEWART in the 60s in DC but I didn't know that he recommended this song. I also played bass guitar behind the Night brothers and I remember them recording this song ,and they boath are good. Billy, The knight brothers, and myself (DAVE) use to play music all around DC Maryland and Virginia back in the day.
