I grew up with bluegrass in tbe Appalachian Mtns of Virginia. I've listened to all kinds of music all my life. Billy Strings, you're the best I've ever heard. I love your music.
I’ve seen him live 4 X’s and have listened to every full show he’s played on line ..:: This is by far the best show imo Ive ever heard any full performance Billy play -
Found Billy on RU-vid a week ago, and have been listening every day since. It's not just his unbelievable perfection playing and singing, it's the musical journey he takes you on. A spectacular creative genius. The band is amazingly talented, and their uncanny timing is spot on. Perfectly in tune with Billy's plunge into an emotional musical experience like I've never experienced before. He doesn't just play, he emotes music.
I tripped, and tripped beautifully (10/30/70, 3/19/73, 6/9-10/73, 8/6/74, for instance all the way through 9/20/90) and while they were great, they hardly qualify for my best moments in this life. You've got much to learn grasshopper.
Have no respect?? I doubt Billy Strings and band would appreciate this /these comments. The narrow way leads to life. The wide "-leads to death. Jesus is knocking .
If anyone hasn't seen his Doc Watson tribute set, DO SO! This was a fantastic concert at Billy always provides but you want to hear him playing and talking about Doc Watson one of Billy's most influential artists on Billy from his birth. Lovin yall!
Never have I read comments on several videos of same person and seen so many compliments I do get it ... lots of good people with good musical taste on Billy strings videos , comment section . Just sayin :-)
All of these guys are bringing their A game to every show. I wish i could afford to see them more often. I'm a deadhead anyway and i would love to follow them to shows like back in the day.😂 That would be a dream come true to be able to do that 🎉.❤😅
38:18 Billy S doesn't even hesitate to pick up the solo after the banjo string breaks. I could listen to these guys all day, best I've heard in a long time.
and then they went right into the next song hahaha, Billy F is backstage like wtf guys. I'm surprised he doesn't have an extra banjo and a tech to swap strings. I guess this was 4 years ago now.
This concert was darn near perfect. And there are several "darn near" perfect. I am loving this one so much perhaps because I haven't seen Billy in several years since he left Northern Michigan for Nashville and have not enjoyed live music by musicians with good hearts and integrity to burn. This whole band is wonderful. Thank you boys....billy's adopted gma in trcty
@@DeeOdzta I agree ! They are so on fire.! At some moments I was thinking Grateful Dead..! It's Beyond-Bluegrass....like they're morphing as-a-whole Excellent . P.S. I just discovered this at 2.15 am on Saturday morning , in NZ. Sending out Love...
@@janineturbitt2525 There are a few Kiwi Billy Strings fans I've discovered. My friend Patrick M I met sharing music links is a big fan, turned him onto HYRYDER from Indianapolis a killer Dead cover band, my favorite.

Billy and his band at their best. This is what we called a happening back in the 60's. Good vibes and music that happened in the there and then. We're presently in the here and now, but I can almost feel the magic that was there ~ G%
Not crazy soulful people living through life's tribulations just inspired by his knowledge,Positivity, and definitely pure talent but yes he's calculated the madness and brings answers
I hope all of you young kids are listening and learning what fantastic music sounds like. Rockin' Blue Grass! I can't think of any type of music I would rather listen to. Billy Strings Band is like no other I have heard.

HOW are these guys so good?? I grew up on this shit. Every time Billy seems to go too far, too jam bandish, he brings it back to the roots. again and it's magic.
I love how they stretch out and play off of each other and then counterpoint together and just create something totally new on top of the bluegrass roots! This is... Jazz in some places!
CHECK BLUE GRASS BAND IRISH AND BRiT musicians sin ce 1996 located in french brittany "THE CHURCHFITTERS " youll be as well amazed ! same type of energy crazy violin beside Rosie lead singer.
Let me adjust my review, having finished the show. This, by far, is my favorite Billy Strings show I've watched. (and I've watched a shitload!). Man, this is just good, end to end.
Me too - found Billy while fighting this effin Covid month ago. God these men can pick, we are totally hooked here in South Jersey! God bless Billy & his band! Hope to see them live soon.

My first Billy Strings show but definitely not my last. There was a lot of speculation that he might not play that night after news that his good friend Jeff Austin had been placed in a medically induced coma. There was a lot of emotion coming through in this set and his comments right before his cover of Run Down took on some extra meaning that night. There were a lot of sad hearts in the crowd that night. Great tribute to another great artist, RIP Jeff.
Words cannot describe..what i feel inside...when i listen to Billy Strings. I think when CJ gets old enough, you should make him a permanent part of the band. Gifted and beyond. Blessings on all of them!
Becca I've been following Billy Strings and Band of Strings for the last8 mos been to 3concerts, and the live shows are off the chain... Love keep on keeping on 💚👁️💚🎵🎻🎶🎸🎤🪕🎵💚🕺🍀
We are so fortunate to be present for the musical magic this young man is giving to us all. Onward I for one will be listening and dancing forever grateful. Touched by ever note and verse. YEE HAW🥰🥰🥰🥰
It's a cathartic experience to hear perfection in a world obviously currently devoid of enough examples. There is hope for excellence in humanity through examples like Billy Strings and others of like spirit
Something about music and New Haven! I have seen so many amazing concerts in town. A lot of the legends! Hope music is back on the road in September! These guys will be in New Haven.
I love when I actually find a guitarist that plays on a very high technicality level that actually knows what the hell they're doing and doesn't sound repetitive. This dude something else
Billy Strings and the whole band are a Phenom! Can't heap enough praise on their creativity and passion, bringing Bluegrass into the Twenty-first Century! Hooked for Life! (...and baked too...)! My fellow Aliens are Impressed!!!!!!
