@@joeoconnell732 lol first of all, it's you're* and second of all how about you go do your 🏠 work buddy. go watch the documentary if I leave here tomorrow. it shows posters advertisements for the band with the spelling "Lynard Skynard". Don't be a jerk Joe
This is an outstanding cover like so many of Billy's covers. I would love to see Billy make an album of some of his favorite cover songs. Some Skynard, Townes VanZandt, Blaze Foley, Alman Brothers, Keith Whitley, Johnny Winter and Pink Floyd would all be great in my mind.
pretty sure the singer missed his cue after the dobro solo and the mandolin just decided screw it I'm gonna get some in too. It was still seamless and that's the beauty of live performance. The spontaneity of humans making music together. This over engineered/produced cookie cutter radio BS today is NOT real music. I don't care who doesn't like it either. Until you put in YEARS perfecting your craft instead of fixing hours worth of mistakes on your iPad, Idgaf what you have to say.
He wouldn't approve of you being a jerk to strangers who actually know better than you though. Educate yourself before attempting to correct others. (For reference Joe here corrected someone's comment that said Skynard and told them that it was actually Skynyrd and when I corrected him explaining that both spellings were used he told me to go do my homework. Well I had already done it and Skynard was in fact an early spelling of the band name.) #JerkJoe2021
Woke up with Curtis Loew stuck in my head for some reason, so i figured i needed to listen to it. Skynard did a great job but theyre not my usual style of music, so i searched "covers" and it MADE MY FRICKIN DAY to see Billy Strings name pop up! Now, i will say Billy doesnt seem to have the same emotion in his vocals that the original does, but i dont know that anyone could really match the original when it comes to that.
