That’s the most emotion I’ve seen Derek Trucks display when Billy was soloing. Awesome when world class musicians love each others work.

The amazing thing about Derek is how much attention he pays to other artists he is playing with. He is always watching their technique and taking in their artistry.

Get these two to do a tour with their bands and it might be a game changer.

This is awesome. Derek is such an amazing player and is as humble as they come, I've been seeing him play since he was young. His feel is incredible, and to see him play with Billy an absolute treat.

Wow man! When I first saw his name tonight, I was a bit put off.. But, hey I'm a Black Sabbath fan, and I like to see other bands do War Pigs. So I watched that video. Was thinking damn, that was a bit different, but stayed in the spirit of the song, and sounded great too! Then I get to this video. Ok dude, I clicked this one cause i know of Derek Trucks (son of Butch), and because it was very recent.Yeah this whole band including Derek killed it, but I'm just blown away by this Billy Strings dude! lol. Serious. And laughing too. I watched a few more of his videos. The guy can sound like so many different singers. His guitar/instrument playing is just mind-blowingly good. I see this young man going a long way. I think he can actually meld bluegrass and hard rock on a record and combine his fan base. ;) But Billy, please put out a hard rock/metal(ish) record. I know it'd be good. That's what's a trip too, is he knows how to meld all these unusual instruments into a hard rock song. I love it. Carry on Brother. You gonna do good things imho. New FAN here!!! Sounds like crap. Can barely hear the guitars or vocals. But can hear people chatting very clearly. Skip the first two minutes unless you love dead air and guitars being tuned.

i'm missing something. billy and band are amazing. derek? i don't get it.. imo, WAY overrated slide player. he ain't lowell or bonnie, but who is? but really, it starts and ends (so sad) with david lindley.

I’ve understood why Derek Trucks receives so many accolades for being a great guitar player which he is not. I get it he is a legacy from the great drummer for the almond brothers which got him on stage with the allman Brothers Band at I think 13 years old with a slide. come on he’s never advanced much past that he shouldn’t even be on the national stage he’s really not that good.
