@@jimcarson2977 people even these days make a living imitating him so that's demonstrably not true. You're speaking out of adoration not logic. Was Chaplin miles better than this guy? Of course! I would never argue otherwise. Billy West isn't equal to Chaplin, Keaton, Lloyd or Arbuckle but he's funnier than Ben Turpin, Larry Semon, Lupino Lane and various other successful silent film comics. His little tramp is often unfunny but he has some moments where he's hilarious. Notice that he doesn't get into fist fights like Chaplin always did to great hilarity. Chaplin was an A+. West is a B or B-. West could imitate Chaplin but he could never come close to equaling him. That being said he's the best imitator I've ever seen!
