I was 10 years old when I watched this live on my TV. The amount of inspiration and pride that radiated through me was unforgettable! I was so proud of him and my country, my smile was huge! Seeing him and his brother, that made my heart melt. The pat on the back he gave his competitors shows what a great person he is. Not to mention the ROARING crowd, it gives me the chills all the time. The Peyong Chang 2018 Olympics began today, and still I return to the 2010 Olympics! ❤️ Just SO epic!
Same, I'll forever remember that specific moment, I was 11 back then, so much electricity in the air. As a Québécois damn I was proud when he won that medal, what a beautiful moment 😌
Maarten Biewenga: Yep. I turned 18 in the hey day of hotdogging in the 1970’s. Recently returned from 7 straight days of skiing at Vail. Knees were fine during the 7 days. On the 2nd morning after getting back home I woke up and could barely walk lol. Never sustained a bad leg/knee injury but years of riding bumps back in the day slowly ground away knee material. The only thing that keeps me in the game these days is riding lots of mountain bike trails weekly in the “off” season. To the point that winter has almost become the off season. Something I accidentally discovered after becoming quite competent in mountain biking - a high quality, full suspension, enduro bike artificially gives me back a youthful body. Landing big jumps on my bike is smooth as silk and pain free as the suspension soaks up the landings that my knees (and back) no longer can alone on similar jumps skiing.
I was nine at the time, my family lives in Vancouver and we watched it live. I was just doing green hills at the time and now I can do double blacks. This guy inspired me to ski more.
i remember watching this when i was eleven, i'm fifteen now and had an amazing feeling when Justine and Chloé won gold and silver in the same category. #GOCANADA
I was forteen ... Today he was even greater. I'm also happy 'cause 4years ago in the women event Canada was stole for their medal ! Happy to see them win this year. Just sad about Gilbaut Colas ... (Yeah I'm french).
i was in first grade for the 2010 olympics, i don’t think anything could ever match the atmosphere of these games. one of the biggest things from the 10s for me. life changing for every canadian. (+when the sochi olympics weren’t as big i was super bummed out as a ten year old, lol.)
I remember watching this on TV as a young boy of 10. It was breakfast time and I was eating a stack of moose pancakes with maple syrup. Such fond memories. 🇨🇦

And then this man was the last person and Canadian to go , he was our last hope , and then he frickin did it and got gold for us , that was 14 years ago and I still remember watching this live , was so epic and amazing , it was a good day for Canada and therefore the world 🌎 🎉

The runner up from Australia who was actually a Canadian who grew up skiing on that hill. He was kicked off the Canadian team because he ran an internet spam business.
