I have them on my leveled 2012 Ram 2500 4x4. They are made individually, for each application, for optimal performance. My truck is leveled NOT lifted, so i had to get the specific shocks. Ive had them on for 10+ years, and they still perform phenomenally, no issues, no leaks, no noise, sure footed and stable at all speeds/heavy loads/trailering. Best bang for buck value, out there, in my opinion!
Love these reviews! Can’t wait for the mid-level season 3 with 6112s in the mix. I’m curious why the Fox Performance 2.0s weren’t included though? I’m happy with them on my F150.
I have these on my 5th Gen 4R. Ive combined them with taller Dobinsons spring to provide the lift (vs using the clips) and they’re awesome for 99% of what I need.
I have a Nissan frontier and i have the 5100 kit from all dogs off-road and i have them matched with all dogs coil springs and they are set on the bottom setting but it still gives me 2 inches of lift. Man they run great and feel better than factory they are a little bit stiffer but almost not noticable and they are awesome on road and off-road even better!!
Great information. I have a 2016 Tacoma with the 4600, but only 50,000 miles. Looking at upgrading to the 5100. If I didn't live 2500 miles from your shop I'd be coming to see you. Keep the videos coming.
This is so surprising, I'm now kind of annoyed that I immediately disconnected these and spent more money on something else (Eibach 2 O coilovers). I had thought Eibach was going to be a step up, but sounds like I may have been happy with the 5100. I haven't installed them yet though, I'm looking forward to your next test to see if the 2.0s do any better than the 1.0.
This is awsome cuz I have 5100s on my 08 tacoma I couldn’t offord king or fox it’s good to know the bilsteins where the optimal choice for me mine mostly battle the California roads
Can you tear them apart? Cut them up and show us the insides, let us know if its any good. I would really like to know if the 5100 vs 6112 upgrade is worth it for guys who dont wheel hard (or at all)
@@OverlandOutfittersany way we can get videos on a 4runner , more weight then the Tacoma and rears don’t have leafs Might change results I’ll volunteer my 4th gen if yall are in SoCal lol
throw these on the stock 2019-2023 ranger with the cock stiff mono leaf with zero travel and get back to me (ask me how I know, rear end walking all over the road on the smallest cracks/potholes, forget offroading) Everyone is recommending these but you need to put out the caveat that they could be ok paired with a not dogshit stiff leaf springs that would turn your car like you're running concrete wheels.. dogshit ride quality with these. Sold em after a week
@@sawyerheslep8493 I travel for work so I get to rent a few cars. I think 5100s would have been bad also for the jeep 4xe and the new frontier as they rode extremely stiff and uncomfortable already. The Frontier was the worst riding quality vehicle I ever had the displeasure of driving. I had to apologize to my passengers.
@mz1906 idk. If u want plush performance suspension buy King or Bilstein, Fox. I like my 8112s dsa+ and 8110s bypass. Yes, I know 8k for performance suspension on a 3rd gen taco. Lol. They can be stiff, but I can adjust the low and high speed as well as the internal bump stop. Depends on how u have these shocks dialed as is the case with most shocks that are adjustable with high and low. But what do I know?
