Bimble: Crosby & Formby 

I lived in Waterloo Rd as a child back in 1946 to 1952. One day in 1950 (I was four yrs old ) I went down to the sands and there was a large military passenger ship keeled on its side. I remember walking right up it and touching the Hull, the soldiers threw sweets down to me.

most of this - as far as 9:49 is my regular run route. Note that at 9:49 where you turned right through the fields - if you take the dirt path straight on you pass through a nature reserve called Cabin Hill which then leads on to Formby beach and will continue - around 4km - to the squirrel reserve where your video ended.

i used to live in the crosby area ,from 1957 -1978. i then moved to north wales, been here ever since.loved going to crosby and formby as a kid.

Great video Kieran, noise of the Mersey Fog Horns at the start sounded epic! I live literally a few hundred metres from the farm where you can still buy Formby Asparagus to this day. I never get bored of cycling round here, always new things to see. If you had done a left at the first level crossing you came to, then did a bit of a leg bimble, this would have brought you out at Tobacco Road eventually. There’s also an old lifeboat station and something called The Devils Hole which is thought to have been either a bomb crater or created by years of strong wind gusts. Shame I wasn’t out and about would have been great to bump in to you and say hello! Hope you had a good Christmas. 🚴🏼‍♂️

Great video Kieran, I was born metres away from the dock road where you began this Crosby adventure and later moved to the Wirral where you have taken your viewers on other adventures. I now live in Canada and get to vicariously live my past through your most informative videos. Keep it up mate, Truly unique and expertly created.
