...or just the coding? I’ve found that most menus are not available, due to the options being available in idrive. I want to see if I can code it be exert mode. Thanks.
Tried this with my 650i GC and it has brake force options but not he expert mode options you went thru in the video. Won’t work still, does anyone know how to access the brake force on these?
It doesn't just look cool, it's much safer too. It usually just turns on the rear fog light when you hard brake for some reason, which REALLY doesn't catch your attention like rapid flashing does.
Once again thank you for the video. I did the first part last year n wondered y it didn’t flash. I appreciate you being straight forward n detailed. 🙌🙌🙌Continue to produce content.
Thanks Thic F30. The code below worked for me. Code For Brake Force Display FEM BODY ESS_AKTIVIERBARER_AUSGANG Change to bremslicht_blinkend Code For Outer Light Flashing REM 3062 MAPPING_BRAKEFORCED_L_OUTPUT change to bl Do the same for BRAKEFORCED_R_OUTPUT. Code for Flashing Rate REM 3064 LceConfiguration, 2B ESS BLINKFREQ 1 ESS BLINKFREQ 2 Change to 05 or other higher number
@@alananderson9072 Because a light that's flashing is more likely to catch their attention than one that lights up and stays on. Same reason your hazards blink, basically.
@@BlitzSixx i don't understand what you mean by catch their attention in this context...if the driver behind you isn't paying attention then why would it matter if the light is flashing or solid?
@@alananderson9072 well "not paying attention" doesn't mean they're in a coma, just zoned out a bit or not focusing on the road. Think about it this way, if you're staring off in the distance you can still vaguely notice what happens in your periphery or 'corner of your eye'. Well if something starts flashing, you are more likely to notice and turn to look. Also like when a cop is pulled over with their lights on at night, you see it from wayyy back on the highway, because flashing bright lights stand out a lot from whatever else is around it. Same idea with BFD, if they are just tired unfocused, hopefully the flashing will alert them that something important is happening and they zone back in lol
@@BlitzSixx first of all by definition a distracted driver is engaging in some activity that takes his attention from the road. We're talking about using a phone or trying to calm down a pet in the car. So if you're checking on your kids in the back seat it doesn't matter if the brake lights are flashing or solid And I hate to break this to you but you see all lights from way back at night, because it's night. All lights stands out in the darkness you just know its the police because they are red and blue So again you moved the goalposts to tired and unfocused when we're talking about distracted drivers.
Keep up the great work man. I love how you go into detail on on these small mods and coding because, just like the sequential blinkers, I hadn't even heard of this. Doing it soon. And I love how you are pumping out the content. Awesome channel man! I'll be grabbing some of your merch soon
Excellent video ... I own 2018 BMW 740i .... your video instruction is VERY helpful... please keep posting more videos so I can experience other features of my vehicle ... good job!
Just saved me from buying an adapter that makes the brake lights blink 😂

You need the neon signs, lasers, and phosphorus flares codes because other drivers are playing with their phones, putting on makeup, eating a ham sandwich while on a conf call, and adjusting their Tesla's air conditioning rather than driving. Also, which menu are the anti-collision, defensive RPGs under?
I just wanted to say thank you for all your bimmercode videos. I just got my f30 a few days ago and successfully input 95% of the codes you posted on your channel.
You should increase the speed setting in FEM or else the flash doesn’t start until you slow to 5km/hr. You want it to flash at higher speeds also if you brake hard.
2016 M4 bimmercoding and everything was working fine except the actual option to turn BFD type on. I only have 2 selections in the BFD category instead of your 3. How do I work around this?
I hope you help me I have an F48 2017 with non LED tail lights and Want to install the LED ones, I tried pluggin a friends LED tail lamp and It wont light up , Ii is possible to make them work with coding?
Thic F30 really love your f30 man it’s super clean! It’s how I want mine at the end I show your car to my wife and say “I want mine like that” haha cheers mate!
Good coding videos quick question is there a way to code and activate the wheel calling feature cause when i clicked (the head picture in the wheel) nothing happens any suggestions?
I have a question I have a I have the latest update on the bimmer code and I have a bmw x7 x40i 2020 can I do the same because I don’t see on the new update :-(
Good idea still putting it on at the end also. I would say be aware of a cop is behind you and it blinks, they could pull you over for faulty brake lights aka reason to pull you over so be aware of this and brake car slowly if one shows up behind you.
nah no they won't. Otherwise they'd be pulling over Hyundais and Kias left and right that seem to do this from factory, could be aftermarket but I doubt those owners would be modifying to an extent like so.
As of July 2020, Do you still need to go into Expert Mode to do the Brake Force flashing mod, or has Bimmercode made this simple on just the main page? Thanks for your time.
@@willstewart8614 Thanks for the response! I also got a response from Stephan at Bimmercode support. He said that it is all in the main menu now, and that there is no need to go into Expert Mode. Gonna try it today.
ThicF30 do you know what I need to do to get this to work on a 535 I get the 1st step but 2nd step is not there as Bimmercode don’t show rear module as a option
Good video thanks for all the tips I went in and tried all the same things you did the only differences in bimmercode I didn’t have an option for brake force flashing active or un active I’m not sure if that is a model specific thing but I have a 2018 M4 competition and I don’t I don’t seem to have that option. Any ideas?
Thanks for such great video, the menu options in my bimmercode app doesn't have the "brake force display type" option, my car is a F30, anyone knows how to get this work?
Instead of selecting L or R output just select “ MAPPING_BRAKEFORCED_M_OUTPUT” and select it to blink then leave the L an R at default setting . It will only blink for the middle light. Coded this for my F32 and it worked
For some reason do not have the option shown to switch between flashing and area enlargement. It is by default set to flashing without the option to switch between the two. I have coded the rear module as instructed, but still no luck. Any thoughts?
Hi Thic, I have a 2017 BMW X5 and I am trying to code Brake force display, I did the first step but I cannot see the second step the Rear electronic module, any help thanks
This video got me to hit the subscribe button man. I never sign up but you deserve it seeing as I watch most of your coding videos. Now I just have to find out why I can get the rolls Royce sound and the splash screen animation to work on my 2011 f10.
I tried this on my 2018 F 32 but their was no category for brake force display type . Everything else was as in your video. Any ideas? if none, do you know how to contact the apps designer? Thanks.
Which year is your car? I'm about to buy a bmw 328i sport line 2012, and i'd like to know if this beammercode works for that one. Amazing videos by the way!!!
Yo I believe my F30 has the active blind spot option and the lane departure option because I can kinda see it in the little screen next to the speedometer do you think you can do a vid on that ?
Tino Z unless you have the sensors , or the controls , all the screens were assembled the same. You’ll be able to tell use a vin decoder online or you’ll have the toggle on and off options on the left side of your car (US)
Thic F30 I wish it was a bee lol but in all honesty I think it’s coming from the FR door speaker, I just received my vgate yesterday so since the morning I’ve been checking out what I can code, and I think something triggered this buzzing thing
Cool! I found this video while looking for a way to adjust my actual braking power. BMW prioritize comfort and has this 'adaptive breaking' which prevents the brakes to be "too grabby", which really sucks. I spec'd the M440i with the 378mm discs from the factory and the i4.M50 (heavier car!) with standard Msport brakes (348mm) braked better. There must be a way to move such "adaptive" into a more "direct" braking (which is manually available to the driver in the M4). Would you know a way/tune/adjust that is done electronically (no hardware) to minimize electronic intervention of the braking response (i.e., makes braking power delivery more direct to pedal input)???! Thank you!!!
Hi friend, man I'm watching all your videos and doing all the tips. Awesome, incredible, I'm already install bluetooth music, retro mirror, Sport + and everything you have in your videos. Unfortunately the break force display fast function does not appear on my Bimmer. I can not choose the FLASHING option. Any tips? Thanks brother
Love the video but I think on the bimmercode update it doesn't have brake Force display type so I can't get the brake Force lights to flash after doing everything you showed except for that one parameter that is not on bimmercode anymore any ideas?
Hi mate, that is very cool 😎 I have a question for you about my car I have not the TPMS sensors and I would like to activate flat monitoring with bimmercode so could you tell me how could I do that please? And keep going to make a video 👍👍
Not gonna lie bro this is my favorite coding video you’ve done. Someone just rear ended me in my e90 so I’m deff trying to figure out if this same process would work with my f22 m235i. Haven’t gone into expert mode at all yet. Any advice?
@@ThicWhips well gave it a shot and for some reason when i'm in the "REM" and make my attempt to code, it goes through and says it coded ok but it doesn't actually reset the ECU. you ever have this happen to you?!
Does your car have be off while doing all the coding? And then finally when you're done you disconnect everything and turn your car on and whalaa? It's done? Thank you mate and dope video
