Since our cars and trucks have computers in them and they can be accessed over the Internet through programs like OnStar can dealerships in false codes to your vehicle just to have you send them for maintenance
Lmao sir with all due respect, the effort it would take to do that (assuming it’s possible, which it is not) is not worth the few hundred they’d get out of you for that, and also, they’re not suffering for maintenance business. It’s ok to question everything, but you gotta do research to back up your logic.
@@theCarNoobHypothetically speaking, they get a few hundred from one person.. but how about a few hundred dollars from a few hundred people. That will stack up real quick! 😂 And I disagree with your one statement though, a lot of companies make money off of maintenance. I feel like engineers make cars so damn complex sometimes for what could be a simple 10min DIY task lol
Hey sir I have a question i have bimmer link for my bmw 328i 2011 and I see the clear errors function but I don’t see the permanent errors functions or some other functions are missing that I see others have on there app ?
You don’t actually need a coding app to reset the sensor, assuming you just replaced brake pads. You’d need to start your car in Accessory mode (no engine start) and hold the button on your instrument cluster for 10 sec or so
Are you able to reset service message? I mean, i change the oil myself on my 1 serie from 2017 but i dont know how to get rid of the service message that pops up when i start the car
I made a video on doing an oil change, at the end I reset the service so that the car knows I changed the oil. It’s not a complicated process, think you just have to start car in accessory, and follow steps to reset the timer for the service you just did
Yeah you can only toggle open/close while it’s plugged in. If you set it to Always Open or Always Closed, then you can unplug it and it’ll stay how you left it
Never found out officially as I’m not having that error anymore but back then it seemed to be because of a deviation to tire circumference and I did have one of my tires wear unevenly, which I have replaced since. Apparently it’s an AWD thing and there could be something going on with one or more of your tires 🤷 Sorry couldn’t help more
