Idk this man nor the details of his life. But maybe he gave some family members money, in order to purchase the home. I knew an older guy who did that for several of his family members, under 1 condition, if he got knocked and needed collateral for bail. Then the house was used for collateral. When he went down, his sister got him out. He went to court, got convicted, went away. And she got her deed to her house back.

My ex bailed me out once. We were not on good terms at the time, but she knew I didn't have anyone else to call. She picked me up from jail at 9am, and had me at my bank by 10am to get her money. She was a real one that day...
