Gives a simple description of a 3-bit Binary shaft encoder and its drawback in determining the position of a rotating shaft. A 3-bit Binary Reflection Gray encoded disc is then introduced and shown to overcome this problem.
I saw this gray code today for first time in an algorithms class(which was not directly using this code's properties) but I was curious to know for what reason it's applied, and I got it here very well. I should thank you.

I'm not sure what you mean by software. I created the video using Powerpoint and the animation facility that comes with it. Glad the video helped. Let me know if there are any other topics that might benefit your students.
