You can use it as a background yes, however they only work when you have earphones in though because each ear gets a slightly different tone, and your brain creates a new tone from those two separate ones. Which is super fascinating! And yeah it's low because it is a low frequency range ☺️
what effect does this have exactly? I know theta waves are good for meditation and alpha waves can induce clear/creative thoughts but together is there a different result?
My guess would be something like clear meditation. Theta is where we hold our fears & intuition. Alpha is mindfulness, being grounded, present & in the "now" So maybe try using this during a grounding meditation to work on your fears & traumas with a clear, calm & level head.
