One of the questions I get asked most (apart from 'Why'?) is 'As well as Ceefax, will you bring back Channel 4's peerless Bamboozle quiz?' So to celebrate me being elected mayor this week, here it is, humans: I present BINBOOZLE 2024!
Can't wait until this is available again within the M25. I hope it gets rolled out to the rest of the country not long after. Not fussed about super fast fibre optic broadband, Ceefax is where it's at!
@@johncheetham4607 Oh you whippersnappers and your superfast modems! What was so wrong with a 1200 Baud modem and a bulletin board, hmmm? (Not that any of this kit was necessary to access Ceefax or Teletext.)
@@meh3247 Oh you whippersnappers and your no so superfast modems! What was wrong with waiting 35 minutes for a computer game to load from a casette player.
If you ever give up politics you should open a chain of off licences called Binboozle. With your intergalatic contacts you could stock Klingon blood wine and Romulan ale.
Noone was worried about small boats and culture wars while we had Teletext, coincidence? Surely not... Bring on Bindependence Day on May 2nd, and Make Earth Great Again!
Count Binface please come to Wales we need you! You may need to spray your bin with WD40 (others products are available) to prevent rust, it rains quite a bit (drop?).
It used spare space on the analogue transmission channels. To get it to work with digital transmissions would have required changing the digital standard but there was no point doing that for something that had already been replaced by the web.

Unfortunately not. It was broadcast as part of the old analogue TV signal, in the few lines at the top of the screen that you couldn't see. The signal was turned off years ago.
You can shut up. Prisoner Cell Block H is on Freeview channel 65 every night at 3am Its so late it plays continuously for 45 mins, without any advertisement breaks Beat that 1980's. Beat that internet 2024
Five? Luxury! Three is plenty. Two is enough to “see what’s on the other side” if you’re bored with the programme. Mind you you will have to get up and re-tune the telly yourself.
