@@we-must-live I can personally confirm that you're surprisingly wrong, I've gone back to CoD after not touching any of those games for years, and gotten to about 80% of my OG k/d efficiency within a couple hours of play. It's like riding a bike or any at-work skill, once we re-familiarize ourselves with the task our brain plugs back into those old synapses and we start milking that sweet, sweet dopamine (maybe serotonin in this case?) out of performing that familiar activity. Edit: It works on non-reflexy games too, I guarantee that within a couple hours I could get back to kicking ass at KoTor 2, and I haven't played that game in over 10 years. I only played OG XCOM for a couple dozen hours total, and I still have that clunky UI burned into my memory.

Between downloading a save with everything unlocked and going on about a “food mode,” why do I get the feeling that Jerma one day will just hire someone to play games while he sits there and eats and pretends he’s playing.
"Food Mode" is actually in Left 4 Dead. If you're playing with others, you can hit "take a break" in the pause menu and a bot takes over until you step back in. Also, I love when Jerma goes "everybody calm down calm down" and he's the only one that's not calm
What he asking for is different tho, Left 4 Dead is a coop game while he's talking about SINGLE PLAYER games, he basically wants the game to PLAY ITSELF. What a fucking LUNATIC!!!!! Thank God he's just a hallucination of mine😅

Only missing part of jerma's "food mode" idea was a microphone that listens for the sound of chewing, and if it doesn't hear chewing for a certain amount of time without Foodmode being disabled, the playercharacter will just kill themself by sprinting off a cliff or pulling out their sword and stabbing themself.
I doubt Jerma will read this, but there is a Grotto Beast card in the Fiend Folio mod. Be warned though, as Fiend Folio will make the game even harder than it already is.
In Yakuza the eating cutscene thing could be glorious like kiryu and Majima eating at along table along with others in a seemingly looping animation... idk i never played Yakuza
I think "food mode" might usurp "alien visitors wouldn't know what technology is" as the most baffling thing I've ever heard from jerma. he really just does NOT want to interrupt a game for 10 minutes to eat something
depends on the game - if it's action adventure Nathan Drake or fukcn hard PROTOTYPE, i'll pause the game... but WoW, Warframe? all these huge ass maps that don't put proper attention into traversal or cool things to find along the way? yeah, it'd be cool if i could go drink a coffee, have some biscuits and would ya look at that, I didn't have to spam dodge roll and airspin four thousand times to get to my destination!
I've watched Jerma for a long, long time now. Food mode might be one of his worst ideas. I get why people might bot in a game like 07 Runescape, but part of that is so you can have the tedious grinding happen while you do something you want to do - not so you can watch it. I dunno, man. Just eat something with a fork instead of your hands? Avoid pizza, maybe?
heh, i remember eating several full-course meals while "playing" warframe - spawn into a lv 20 relic survival, sit in a hallway with all my skills on, let the madman running at mach 3 with his explosive flamethrower kill everything in one second and sit back. once ate a bowl of bolognese, few slices of toast, a salad sandwich, a hot chocolate and a bowl of icecream all in one game. then i moved to pick up the metric shitload of stuff on the floor and the game crashed trying to load all the particle effects at once.
My GTA/BOI game is definitely Age of Empires 2... I have purchased that originally when it came out with the expansions and strategy manuals, on Steam when it came out, from a thrift store when I found a copy for five bucks, from Microsoft for a penny when they first started their store like 15 years ago, again on Steam for the Definitive Edition, again on Steam for the whatever the newest version of Definitive is to them, as well as buying at least 10 copies for other people to force them to play with me over the years, haha.
yeah! i aint even 20 (oh, ancient!) and i can't play games like i used to - I dunno how all those people in chat get on jerma about it, he's probably triple their age... that's like calling granpa an idiot cause he doesn't know where the hidden rocket launcher is in GTA SA
@@Cruxin Oh, I don't mean to say that it wasn't also a really fun experience, it was, it's just that it was also probably the most grueling and frustrating challenge I've ever undertaken in a video game. My relationship with TBOI is... complicated.
The food mode Jerma is describing here is for the mentally incapable, just don't play the game for the duration of time it takes you to eat, there are only negatives that come from such a psychotic idea
Good mode sounds like an actually pretty good idea. It could move to markers when turned on and then grind/ look for items when not locked on to anything.
i love how jerma was talking about repentance not being bought on his switch and i dont even think it came out for the switch until MONTHS after pc release
