They both prepared awesome burgers/ patties though, i would love to see how they would taste if you combined them together. The cheese and salad alvin had looked fire just add that to matty’s burger and i think that would be heaven on a plate

For those interested: I have made Matty's burgers a couple of times and they are AMAZING so I decided to write down the recipe for myself. As he does not give us specific instructions, this recipe is filled with a lot of guesstimating, of course. :) Krabby Patty - Matty Matheson Ingredients: - Shrimp (500 gr./ 1 pound) - Pork fat (lard) (1 tablespoon) - 2 Bird’s eye chilis, finely sliced - Lime zest + juice - Cilantro + stems, chopped - 1 large carrot, thinly sliced - Daikon cabbage, thinly sliced - 1 white Onion, thinly sliced - Fish sauce - Vinegar - 1 Jalapeno, thinly sliced - Thai basil - American Cheese, slices - Hoisin sauce - Mayonaise - Simple syrup Recipe - Blitz Shrimps, add pork fat and blitz again - Add cilantro + stems and 1 bird’s eye chili - Put the mixture in the fridge - Cut the carrot and Cabbage (use about half) julienne style - Add vinegar and fish sauce (same amount of both) and simple syrup - Add juice + zest of 1 lime - Add 1 bird’s eye chili - Mix onion, other half of napa cabbage, jalapeno, cilantro stem, thai basil in a bowl - Form the shrimp mixture into patties and brown them on one side. Flip and add cheese. Add some water to the pan and steam the cheese under a lid until melted. - Assemble burger: first layer the dry veggie mixture, then two patties followed by the carrot + cabbage mixture. - Top with mayo and hoisin sauce. + salt and/or pepper to taste to all components
im gonna add insane but im pretty sure he actually used kewpie mayo ("kewps!") here specifically, which is japanese mayo that tastes like 100% different from standard american and would go really well with the shrimp/seafood in general!!
Hey if you are trying to be accurate, Matty wanted to add the cilantro leaves to the patties but changed it to stems when Babitch said he didn't like cilantro.

Mattys was actually pretty smart as well. It was an awesome take on like a shrimp/pork egg roll, banh mi, and burger rolled into one thing. I dont even like seafood and i thought it was smart.

Ergo it is not NECESSARILY a burger. Most burgers are patties, but not all patties are burgers. Occasionally you have outliers like the Beirock (which qualifies as a burger because it includes ground beef in bread, but because it's not formed, cannot be called a 'beef patty'), but most burgers are beef pattys. The Krabby Patty might be beef, it might not be beef. Calling it a patty preserves the mystery.
why hes not as good as he used to be...maybe hes still a good chef... but personality wise in anything hes in ... no hes changed for the worse.. he seems more obnoxious and annoying now
if you tuck your fingers under your fist while you cut, and bring both the knife and your half-ball fist back in an orderly fashion, you can have a full conversation while you chop up a salad. One of the things I learned working as a cook. It takes practice though.

@@Evo_Spec not to mention it looks like a half tang. I only use full tang knives because I've smashed so many knife handles. If I can't see the tang from spine to butt, I don't buy it or use it roughly.
