We used to make these at Boy Scout camp as Staff. Last day of camp every week when the scouts would be going home wed fire up a large fire pit with quarter inch thick pice of sheet steel on a pulley above it. We'd go through gallons of pancake mix and we would actually use snow shovels to flip the pancakes.
